[ROM] Rumm Rx v1.0 - First dose of awesomeness ;)

already running, does that mean I'm stuck??

No, it should finish up the current installs and stop after you uncheck those boxes. You may want to reboot or clear data in the market app to make it stop sooner.

Settings/Applications/ManageApplications/All/Market

For anybody else that may want to avoid this, its best to skip the initial set-up wizard Google sign in and go uncheck those boxes. Then return to Market or Gmail and sign in.

Running the 2.3.15 version. Turned off the annoying animations, but they wont stop. Any ideas?

Edit: Took two reboots to finally turn them off

is the automatic restore set by default? i want to load this later today and i really don't have that many apps. i don't plan on putting them in a file on my sd card or anything like that. normally i just let the market do it's thing when i sign in. is this going to cause some type of issue for me if i don't uncheck those boxes. I hope things are running smooth for you GMB since i read you didn't expect to be on the leak. thanks

Hello All!

First post here, and just wanted to say thanks for an amazing ROM! I am amazed how smooth, and clean it is!

Is there anyway to remove an short-cut from the dock? I dropped my contacts on the center spot, and cannot remove it!

Thank you in advance for your help in this matter.

Matt

I'm new to ADW, is there a way to get more apps on the dock, like Launcher pro where you can have them scroll along???

Thank you for the quick replies, but I dropped my phone book on the home button, and I can't figure out how to get to my home button back, so I can see the rest of my icons!

Ok. Not 100% sure this will get you there.. but I'll try on this one!

Menu> Add> Custom shortcut. Press Pick your activity, choose Launcher Actions, and choose "Open/close App Drawer", then OK.
Drag it back to your bar in whatever position you'd like.

Let me know if that's not what you're looking for... ADW is SO amazing.. can do TONS of stuff with it! :)

Every DX Rom I have installed has the Automatic Restore checked by default. Even if you tell the Set Up Wizard not to back you data up to Google you will still have to check the back up box in settings in order to be able to uncheck the Automatic Restore box. Then you can uncheck the Back up My Settings box and go sign into the Market of Gmail.

It's very confusing to explain but once you do it a time or two you'll understand. Easiest way is to skip the Set Up Wizards Google sign in and uncheck those boxes first.

I appreciate you asking how I am doing with the leak, Thanks :). It has been great. I am thoroughly enjoying this ROM so far and JRummy has officially won me over. :D I look forward to what his talent may bring us in future releases.

No....freaking....way. I have been flashing ROMs for years and I read through that OP 2X over before beginning the install and then I followed it line by line as I flashed it. No where does it tell you that the 11.9mb miscellaneous update file is actually the equivalent of updating to the TBH 130mb leak that permanently updates your bootloader and system....

Note: It has been briefly tested to still work without installing the leak (updating boot loader, etc.) but try this at your own risk and post back results.

Thats ^ EXACTLY what I thought I was doing and I followed the instructions line by line after that header for installing the ROM if you are not on the leak. Trust me when I say if I wanted to flash the leak I would have done the full leak by myself, on my terms and then looked for a ROM to flash later. This is the only ROM I have seen that bamboozles you into flashing the leak with no warning whatsoever.

JRummy really needs to put a warning in the install instructions telling users what that miscellaneous file actually does because it was a big surprise to me.

Am I upset? Yeah, I am a little bit burnt. But you will also notice I have been one of the main supporters in this thread because I am trying to make the best of the situation and this ROM is actually pretty good. JRummy has my personal thanks for the immense amount of work that went into this beautiful piece of art.

I wasn't singling anyone out or blaming anyone. This was just my opinion and my experience and tried to give some other helpful information. Maybe it wasn't clear...i know I wasn't sure so I didn't do anything and when I got no reply to my question I didn't try it. So, sorry you are butt hurt, so direct your rant at Rummy if you feel that way and not me.

Just because you are the only quote in my reply doesn't mean you are the only person that can see it, as indicated by the changes in the OP. And furthermore your flip flopping between being "relatively clear" and "i know I wasn't sure so I didn't do anything" doesn't lend itself well to your argument.

Thanks so much for your concern regarding my butt though. Much appreciated :)

GMB

Ok john kerry...go be an ass somewhere else
