[ROM] Rumm Rx v1.0 - First dose of awesomeness ;)

Is anyone running this on the non 2.2.1 just wondering how it ran? Also Jrummy amazing work as always. Are you going to be making a kangerade theme :) loved that about my OG D1

I really want to try this rom but want to make sure that if I install the 2.3.15 version i will still be able to flash back to another "non-leaked" rom or backup. I read through all 27 pages and am pretty sure that it'll be OK. But I still wanted to double check cause I don't wanna install the leak.

Thanks!

I was running the new leak when it dropped from Team Black Hat. I did a backup before with clockwork and when i realized the camera and music didnt work i went right back to my backup. I think you should be fine I am not going to tell you to do because you should have all the sbf's just in case or options because this ROM may do something different than just a stock new leak would if that makes sense. But truthfully this ROM is so worth the time of setting stuff backup. Very fast, stable no force closes xcept what is listed and runs super fast dont trust quadrant this is the fastest ROM ive had on my dx so load it up and enjoy it!

just make sure that you read all the directions and read them more than once if needed because if you leave clockwork after mounting system as far as i know your phone is completely useless.....hint though if you do mess it up tell vzw that you got the 2.2 update and was meaning to put it on and when you did install it it froze and you had a full battery....works like a charm

Don't hold me to this, as I may be mistaken.....
But I believe the very first version of the leak that they released, didn't include the bootloader.. which is why music and camera (and other stuff) didn't work correctly. You COULD go back from that, if it didn't include the bootloader.

Once your bootloader is upgraded via the current leak, there is NO going back (well, yet.. ).

thats why i told that guy not to listen to me do it at own discretion.
One option you could have though is using the other version jrummy has made.

OK so what I'm understanding is if I install the For 2.3.15 only version that will not change my bootloader which is what the leak does.

That way if I run into any problems I'd be able to use a backup of another ROM.

From what i know is you can instal the leaked 2.2.1 but when you use the misc update 2.2.1.zip then it changes your bootloader but thats besides the fact. As far as i know what you just stated above is correct if anyone knows anything different correct me.

Ok, so I've got a couple issues. The first is that Swype would not install from my titanium backup so I dl'ed the beta and it's just fc'ing... Next none of the tools were showing up that are supposed to be part of the rom. So I decided I might as well download the overclock app and I did but it keeps just going to a black screen and not doing anything.

Edit: Ok, well apparently the overclock app was just taking FOREVER to load

never ever put a swype beta on a phone that comes stock with swype unless there is a bullet proof method on how to. SWYPE is in the language and keyboards part of the settings and all you have to do is check a box.

Check to make sure you are rooted still for the overclocking app and if you still are make sure busybox is still working (download from market) and make sure super user app is allowing the app too run just click on the app. If all that fails then uninstall and reinstall and wipe cache in in the applications menu under settings of phone

holy ****. i was just a 1.15 ghz which i usually keep my x at and i just got a quadrant of 2,318 i know quadrant doesnt mean anything i know i know. But you all know you love to see it. Im to lazy to attach it haha so if you dont believe check my twitter "smcdo123" and no im not a cheater and fake a benchmark score cause theres literally no point of that.

Well it wasn't showing up in the settings. So I will delete it, but it isn't in the "keyboard and inputs" or whatever part
