Ok, so I've got a couple issues. The first is that Swype would not install from my titanium backup so I dl'ed the beta and it's just fc'ing... Next none of the tools were showing up that are supposed to be part of the rom. So I decided I might as well download the overclock app and I did but it keeps just going to a black screen and not doing anything.

never ever put a swype beta on a phone that comes stock with swype unless there is a bullet proof method on how to. SWYPE is in the language and keyboards part of the settings and all you have to do is check a box.

Check to make sure you are rooted still for the overclocking app and if you still are make sure busybox is still working (download from market) and make sure super user app is allowing the app too run just click on the app. If all that fails then uninstall and reinstall and wipe cache in in the applications menu under settings of phone

Well it wasn't showing up in the settings. So I will delete it, but it isn't in the "keyboard and inputs" or whatever part

Love the rom but after a couple of minutes online my X will go to google, type in urban dictionary kang, load search results, then reboot.... all by herself! What gives? I love this rom and all the extras but I can't have these reboots.... Help!

possibly but im not going to tell you to do cause im not sure these 2.2.1 with different bootloader is fussy. let alone the droid x being fussy anyways

Nope ...., now it wont let me open the toolbox app.... I'm going to reinstall the rom to see if that helps... I don't want to ditch this rom.... Its too good! Help Jrummy!

Edit: Got it now... I don't understand why it didn't show up in the settings right away.

uninstall any new apps maybe you have a malicious app/s

Ok, so now I wiped my data and reflashed and still do not have swype...

well i can assure swype is on this rom. so im not sure what you happened but maybe find a droid x swype apk and install if you know how with root explorer or adb

which folder should I pull them from, /data/app?

and is there a typo in your OP should it be rumm_rx/restore_apps ?

I'm having all of issue with this rom 2.3.320 (from 2.2 rooted no rom)

- Sometimes after reboots it wipes out the changes I did to build prop.
- Sometimes when it reboots it goes to recovery mode.
- Dialer crashes
- sl4a crashes
- power amp crashes
- calendar crashes on new event

I know some of these are known. All I care about is getting the build props to stay as edited on every boot. Sometimes it sticks sometimes it doesn't.

Bit of a noob...would love any tips!
