When we flash the rom I understand we are on 5.7.893 but same kernel and radio cause we have locked bootloader. My question is the Bionic has problkems dropping signal and the camera to name a few. Im in a 4G area in IL I dont drop signal and camera seems to work good. Does 5.7.893 fix these problems or the rom or both. Thanks

893 has a new Kernel and LTE Radio. I myself never had a Data issue, and don't with the new Radio. As for the camera, it is better, all of which is in the new BAS3... but, i would assume some of the cameras enhancements come from the new kernel also. I find it highly unlikely it was just a poorly written apk.

Its an issue with the app. There's an update fixer on the market for it though that might help.

You used leaked ota. That's why you lost webtop. No ROM will fix. Google your issue or use the search on this forum for you're answer and fix.

So when we are on the base we have new kernel and radio if we leave we go back to 886 stock rooted. We can not keep the radio and kernel unless we get offical upodate fromn Verizon or Moto because we have locked bootloader.

Only the officil ota signed by motor can even touch your radio and kernel. If you flash the rom and you're still running .886 then you're still on running .886 even though it says .893 in about phone. And once you do update to .896 with the OTA update it stays that way until the booleader gets unlocked.

If Im not changing the kernel or radio then you get the benifits 893 without being on it. Im not sure about signal but I know the camera works better has to be Base

I'm having an issue with 3g speeds after flashing the base ROM. I flashed the Blurry Xoom themed zip on top of the base and am still having the 3g issue.

My typical 3g speeds before flashing (I was running stock with a webtop mod zip flashed... no adapter required) were around 600 kbps down and 100-200 kbps up. Now my 3g speeds are around 170 kbps down and 25-60 kbps up. Big difference.

4g speeds are still great. Same as they used to be (around 10,000 kbps down and 1,200 kbps up).

Has anyone seen this slow-3g issue before or have an idea for why it may be happening (or a solution to fix it)?
