[ROM] The Eagle Has Landed!!!! - Liberty 1.0 1/11/11

The settings are in the /system/etc/sysctl.conf... And the checkbox in the toolbox enables use of the sysctl.conf file...

And that thread has some suggested settings... I think Liberty has some settings that should be generally good for all phones, without risking stability issues, etc.

Yeah I was checking out the setting but didn't know if they should be tweaked. Some of them matched the link you posted. I'll just keep them.as is and do some research if I decide I want to change them. Thanks seph

You can actually change them in liberty settings without having to go to sysctl.conf file. I never saw this option before until today

Just curious what are the default settings at? Thanks

Depends on what you mean by default. :P
Default for stock (MotoBlur).. no settings at all. Doesn't use sysctl.
Default for Liberty can be found in the /system/etc/sysctl.conf file (They're commented out, unless you select to use the sysctl settings in the toolbox).
If you DO change the settings in the toolbox app, it will change those settings in /system/etc/sysctl.conf...

Can anyone tell me how to edit things like turning data off after 15 minutes? I also wanna know how to add a number to a facebook contact. Thanks, love the ROM

Long press on any text-input field, and select "Select Input Method", and choose your keyboard.

Hey guys, I've noticed lately... Running liberty Rom of course I should say.

If I long press the home screen to bring up the "Add to Home Screen" and then select Wallpapers, Inside of the "Select Wallpaper From" Dropdown, I find yet another "Wallpapers" option.

Inside this option is a single background... which seems to be duplicated within my Liberty Wallpapers option.

My question is, why the hell do I have a separate option for "Wallpapers" with only one wallpaper installed? Is this intended via the Liberty Rom? Is this something that I somehow inadvertently caused?

I believe that the wallpapers section you are talking about is tied in to the live wallpaper. I deleted the livewallpaperspicker.apk in /system/apps and it got rid of both. I don't use live wallpapers, so no big deal for me having both gone.

FYI There's a broken image file in framework-res.apk

"btn_toggle_on.9.png" is missing. Feel free to use the fix attached.

Thanks for the answer, I boot into recovery/bootstrap and select the .zip of the fission 2.4.3 for D2Global, but it never start, it freeze at the first screen!. I thought my phone had died forever! :(

I had to do a hard reset, and i don't know how (after a wipe factory format) i return tu the bootstrap and i could select the liberty .zip again.

So right know i have a fresh installation of the liberty for D2 in my D2G with the airplane mode on.

How is the best way to switch from liberty to Fission 2.4.3 or other recommended room without getting freeze the phone at the first screen?

Thanks for the hand.
