So what would happen if I used UD Kernal with this ROM?

I am pretty sure you can't have it in any folder or anything it has to be just on your SDCARD so make sure that is not in like a "downloads" folder or anything its just solely on the SDCARD.

right now im still in the choose a zip to apply screen. i dont know where to go after that.

Download ROM Manager...Install It and use it...Makes flashing ROMS a cake walk

ROM Manager is a good crutch, but I HIGHLY recommend downloading the ROM, putting it on the root of SDCard (NOT in a folder), and following the ROM developer's instructions. You'll end up with less issues in the long run...

So now that I have installed this ROM when I try to play music or Videos the music says this file type is not supported and the video says pretty much the same thing. Any Ideas coming from UD RC2. Where it worked fine. Is any one else having this issue? Everything else so far seems to work fine and its every single type of video from you tube to recorded video to ones loaded off my PC to ones even off an app called flixter.

As previously mentioned, Stagefright will cause this.. but it is also possible it's due to your kernel/bootloader not being updated to 2.3.340.

Assuming of course that you're on a DroidX... Check your kernel version under about phone.. it should be 2.6.32.9-g55626e1

If it's not, update first, then reinstall.

I have already been through that. And changed all that in the build.prop did not help. Its not just certain types its every type. Which is the confusion part. I would understand if it was just one or two types but its every single type of video and audio. Fustrating. I had the issue awhile back and the only ROM I could use that I could play video on was UD ROM. I went through ever DX rom known to man I started having the problem soon as my phone got flashed to the newest version.

For stagefright, to make sure it's disabled, I believe you only need to disable player.. but disable them all to be sure you're safe and reboot.

Once confirmed it's not stagefright, check your kernel version as mentioned above.

With locked bootloader.. ROMs do not, can not, and will not update/change kernels. I assume UD also requires you be on the latest update from Moto/VZW, which is 2.3.340... (the kernel version I listed above).

I'm almost sure that's your issue.. let us know!

I am on 2.3.34 and the kernel mention above is the one I have and I have tried disabled everything in stage fright still no go. Soon as I flash back to UD it video and music works flawlessly. When I look at the settings nothing seems different. Its utterly baffling.If it helps the problem started after I flashed Tranquility ROM which I was not a fan of it was ok just not my style every ROM after that I have not been able to play Video or music. ONly one I have ever been able to play Video and Music on is UD Rom.

Market FC after theme

I am getting a FC with the Market after installing the Nex Theme. I noticed that my market had updated to 2.2.7 (noticed b/c Titanium recognized it as a newer version, previously was 2.2.6).

Even after trying to restore to the 2.2.6 I was still getting a FC.

So I uninstalled the market through titanium and even tried installing the new market over at Droid-Life. Still no luck. Anyone have any ideas? I have tried clearing data/cache for the current market with no luck.

I do have a clean backup of Liberty before making any mods, but I have a good setup now, just no market.

Any ideas are greatly appreciated, or I can just restore my clean install and start over :icon_eek:

Yeah that widget is still there but unless I'm a moron it doesn't include airplane mode or gps. 2.2.1 had these as separate widgets...

Hey, just wondering if anyone could explain the contact system with this rom. I'd like to have my facebook contacts and pictures, but not have to be constantly signed into facebook.

I also can't reinstall the gingerbread keyboard. When I try the phone just reboots. Thanks for the help.

so i just installed liberty and it is fast and great!! question for anyone who can answer! I am unable to change themes, and was wondering if others have this problem? everything else in liberty tool box works except themes. PLEASE HELP!!!

To change themes I had success just going into liberty toolbox then liberty mods> liberty themes then pick the one you want and wait about five minutes when the phone should reboot
