[ROM] The Eagle Has Landed!!!! - Liberty 1.0 1/11/11

I'm not sure what bug you guys are talking about. I have Mabilo loaded on my DX and it works fine, assigning custom ringtones to my various friends.

You always replay with something like I don't know what your talking about

Just because it didn't occur with you doesn't mean it can't happen

Like I said before, this rom is superfast! Zero issues btw. Donation coming on Friday! Thank you for this great rom.

Droid X. Rooted with Z4root and underclocked to save battery life.

Speaking of the liberty rom does any on have a problem with their internet speed.
I was running gummyjar 2.1 before liberty and my web browsing was much faster. Its still a great rom but I heard liberty was much better so I installed. The phone is fast don't get me wrong and I really like the liberty toolbar but like I said the internet is slow on both 3G and wifi and my battery drained much faster than when I was using gummyjar. I'm puzzled by this since I heard u would be able to stream YouTube videos on 3G in HQ with out it stopping and buffering in the middle of the video. Can someone shed some light on as to why I have these problems.

Any one having issues flashing the Gingerbread keyboard? I am running the latest toolbox from the market and the Gingerbread theme.

Several pages back I mentioned I had problems with the Market after going straight from Fission to Liberty. I went to sock after that and then liberty and no more problems with the market but now I'm having issues with wifi. I can surf etc over 3G but in wifi it slows to a crawl. Thought maybe it was my wifi so I checked using my laptop and it's good there. Any ideas?

Awesome ROM, comping from Apex I didn't think my phone could run any smoother. One thing that would be awesome is to have resizable widgets built in. I don't want to install another launcher just to get that option. Love the stock android look.

Thank you.

Thank you.

That is a function of the launcher. If you want the feature, you will need a new launcher. Launcher2.apk just doesn't support it.

Got a new droid x yesterday (1/18/11).

Charged the battery to 100%. Went to bed and noticed it was dead a few hours later. Something is draining the battery. Not sure what. I have nothing running. No task killer, not overclocked, nothing, like that. Installed Liberty via WIN7 hours after I got the phone. running 2.2.1

Any thoughts? Could it be the ROM install process?

I'm aware, that's why I said I didn't want to install another launcher just for that function. Thanks for the reply though.

GB keyboard is already installed. Go to settings -> language & keyboard and check the box next to gingerbread keyboard...

Try doing another full power cycle where you let the battery die completely, then charge it all the way up to 100% (preferably when the phone is off). Then, boot in to Clockwork Recovery, go to Advanced -> Clear Battery Stats (or something like that). Reboot the system and you should be fine.

My guess is that the battery is just acting funny since it is new and unused. You will also see some pretty big battery drain when installing a ROM and when the phone is first building up the cache.

Thanks. I appreciate the reply. I will take your advice.

No problem. If you still have issues, did you wipe data and cache prior to installing the ROM? I know that my battery life on Liberty is great, so there are two broad causes, hardware or software. Since this is a new phone, it could possibly be hardware. Most likely, it is not hardware, but you may have a bad battery. I think it might be an application, try to double check in the battery usage app.

Here are my next steps if you still have bad battery life:
1) Reinstall Liberty without wiping data or cache. This just has you install the zip file from the SD card in Clockwork Recovery.
2) If battery issues continue, backup what you would like, and wipe /system, /data, and /cache, then reinstall Liberty again.
2a) Now, since you wiped cache, you may have lower battery due to the rebuilding of cache. Feel free to restore apps, but try to keep in mind what you are installing, an application might be causing the issue.
2b) Keep the phone plugged in until it is at 100% and then wait a few hours before unplugging. The first battery cycle might be a little fast, due to the new apps pulling data, cache being written, etc.

I reinstalled liberty today without wiping data.
I'll try the battery charging tip tonight. If all fails I'll reinstall.
Thanks again.
