[ROM] The Eagle Has Landed!!!! - Liberty 1.0 1/11/11

First of all, AMAZING ROM! I was using Rubix 1.9.5 and figured that since you're both based off gummayJar why not give liberty a shot? SO happy I did! You put some real time and effort into this thing and it shows!

The only problem I've encountered thus far is not being able to use speech-to-text in my messaging apps to take what I say and translate it into the text, something I make frequent use of while driving.

I looked through my titanium backup and saw that the previous program that used to be there for voice input is now gone, any ideas where it went and if I can replace it? Should I just flash to an earlier version of my phone, back up the voice input system file with my titanium backup and then reflash Liberty and install it that way? At the moment that's the only way I can think of, a simpler way would be preferred though!

Just install "Voice Search" (by google) from the market.. and you should get your voice input back.

Did what you said! Didnt solve the problem at first, had to uninstall my custom keyboard and reinstall it and Viola! It works! Thanks for the quick advice!

Weird that you had to reinstall the keyboard. Reboot maybe, but not sure about reinstalling like that.

did anybody mod the liberty theme so the battery tells in 99, 98 etc and not in tens like 90 80 70.

This is a lot bigger issue than just adding the images, or mod'ing res/drawable/stat_sys_battery.xml.
Framework only reports in 10% increments.. to go any more granular would require major changes...

If someone gets this working on Droid2/X, would love to see the code though...

Don't know about removing the clock.. but throttling hack was posted in the first 15-20 pages. Search for throttle hack with "Search Thread" button above will get you:

Never mind, I found the answer. Download Fission ROM Manager Lite and use it to install Program menu hotfix.

First off I want to say THIS ROM ROX!! Not sure if it's been mentioned, but I do want to point out that my sms/mms messaging forces closed upon attempting to send a message and I am not receiving any messages either... no texting = not good... anyone else having this problem and is there any fixes??

EDIT: I do want to point out that I have also tried handcent and chomp and nothing is working (they all crash upon attempting to text)

Dumb question, but did you wipe data and cache when installing the ROM? The problem you are experiencing can usually be attributed to that... If everything else is working, before you clear data and cache (factory reset), try going to settings > Applications > Manage applications > All > Messaging > Clear data
