[ROM] The Eagle Has Landed!!!! - Liberty 1.0 1/11/11

I'm sure this has been discussed but there are just a few issues I'm having...1 sometimes my phone will go to sleep and have to do a battery pull to get it to wake 2 no a2dp support. 3 when on a call if the screen is dark you can not adjust the volume at all. Screen has to be active. And then a question. Is there a way for me to set the screen off when I'm on a call more sensitive? I have hung up on several people due to the screen coming on when holding with my shoulder lol. Other than that fabulous job y'all

I thought I was the only one with that problem!!! It's only started recently and I've been uninstalling apps hoping that might solve it but nope. I'm keeping my hopes up for a solution and my phone on the charger so it doesn't go to sleep.

--Phone not waking from sleep
What apps are you using to manage battery/tasks/cpu/etc.?
If using a task killer/manager, remove it.
Try disabling any apps that manage battery/cpu/overclock/etc., and see if you still have problems.

--No a2dp support
Have to catch a dev on this one, I've not tested it... can anyone else confirm?

--Can't adjust volume when screen not active
Have not noticed this, but will test.

--Proximity sensor sensitivity
This is a setting in /system/build.prop
Default setting from Motorola/VZW is 450, but I believe this has been set down to 150 in the ROM. You can edit it to change it back...

Same... What mod/theme/? Any apps that try to optimize battery/cpu/memory/etc., such as: watchdog, setcpu, overclock, etc.? If so, what happens if you disable/remove them?

I was having issues with phone not waking from sleep. I was undervolted and changed oc to stock voltage and the issue is now gone

I'm running the Red X Theme by Natemz from XDA. I did have JRummy's app, QuickClock Advanced and SetCPU on the phone and have since disabled/uninstalled all. I didn't have any screen off profiles set up anywhere and I'm too noobish to overclocking to know where to look for a setting to change my screen off/sleep setting to a Liberty default. I have reinstalled the Liberty ROM and Red X theme from a backup before my X started acting up but the problem persists. Thanks for any help you can give.

Regarding #3, are you sure it just won't adjust down? There is a "feature" that'll only let you increase the volume when the screen is off. I guess so you can't accidentally set the volume so low you can't hear the other person...Not sure why, but I think this has been in place since froyo.

I can always increase the volume while it's against my ear, but to reduce the volume I have to take it away and allow the screen to turn on.

It's annoying if you ask me, but I don't think there's a workaround/fix yet.

150 was too low for me. I called Verizon and was prompted to enter my password. I would click on the dial pad and before I could type the screen went blank. Nothing the toolbox didn't fix :)

dont mean to ask a question that may have been answered, but im a slow reader and on pg 72 so far...
Any reason why i can't assign a contact to a number in dialer. i used to be able to hold down say button 2 and it would ask to assign a contact, from then on if i held the 2 down, it would auto call...

thanks in advance

That is a feature of the blur dialer. Since this is AOSP based, we don't have the speed dial. I think there is an app that adds that. I personally just use the favorites section.

Can someone please help me. I just got my X and rooted and got liberty installed. The problem is my music isn't working, when I go to the music app and pick any song a message pops up and says the file is not supported.

Thank you for any assistance.

"Liberty is tested and supported on only 320/340 droid X’s."
Do you fall into this requirement ??

The most common cause for multimedia issues (including what you're having)... is being on the wrong kernel/bootloader version...

If you go to Menu> Settings> About phone.. check your kernel version. If you don't have 2.3.340, then I highly suggest you upgrade.

The fastest way to upgrade is via this method:

Hello.

I just installed Liberty 1.0 on my DX and I'm having an issue where my phone is not recognizing my SD card/says it has nothing on it when it clearly does. I was able to get it to realize there is music on there, but the player then says it doesn't support it.

Help?
