[ROM] The Eagle Has Landed!!!! - Liberty 1.0 1/11/11

Does anyone know where I can view a sample of all liberty stock themes, so I know before I flash them how they'll look? I'm running liberty with pink life now, but want to change it up again! Also, when new liberty themes come out how/where can I find them??

Thanks!!!!!

There is a thread in this section that shows some of the DX themes, if they are the same as the D2, then try and find that.

Same Battery issue

I've reinstalled liberty a few times. Something is draining my battery very quickly. Its beyond "running" apps. I'm loosing 10% ev ery 30 minutes or so doing nothing. Can't figure it out. I'm using a droix x 2.2.1. All push data is off. Not many apps installed. Will have to go back to blur and I hate motoblur, its horrible.

Thanks. I appreciate the reply. I will take your advice.

No problem. If you still have issues, did you wipe data and cache prior to installing the ROM? I know that my battery life on Liberty is great, so there are two broad causes, hardware or software. Since this is a new phone, it could possibly be hardware. Most likely, it is not hardware, but you may have a bad battery. I think it might be an application, try to double check in the battery usage app.

Here are my next steps if you still have bad battery life:
1) Reinstall Liberty without wiping data or cache. This just has you install the zip file from the SD card in Clockwork Recovery.
2) If battery issues continue, backup what you would like, and wipe /system, /data, and /cache, then reinstall Liberty again.
2a) Now, since you wiped cache, you may have lower battery due to the rebuilding of cache. Feel free to restore apps, but try to keep in mind what you are installing, an application might be causing the issue.
2b) Keep the phone plugged in until it is at 100% and then wait a few hours before unplugging. The first battery cycle might be a little fast, due to the new apps pulling data, cache being written, etc.

Just did a reinstall of liberty. I wiped system, cache etc. and reinstalled. Before reinstalling battery was very low. 20% or so. After reinstall its showing a 50%. Weird.

Planning on charging for a few hours per your suggestion. Thanks again.

Same issue again. Noticed that the battery was dying last night. Significant drain. Not sure what's causing it. Reinstalled liberty today 2x's. One wide/data/cache. Still draining. Will charge overnight and see what happens. Might try a different ROM but would hate to. Liberty is great.

It has to be an app or something with the phone. What apps are installed? Can you provide a full list? Are you killing the apps while checking this? Killing apps can result in all kinds of wonky things. Prior to undervolting my phone, I was getting about 20 hours with moderate usage.

My next suggestion would be to sbf and try from there. If you are still having issues, I would guess that your battery might actually be bad.

Try resetting your battery in recovery then install liberty.

Fix

If you havent already, go to market & download astro. In astro, go to settings, & enable browser download any file type. :blackdroid:

Is anyone else having this issue? When I receive a missed call I am not getting the missed call icon in the status bar nor am I am getting the notification in the pull down notification screen. I have had this problem on both the Big DX and BlackedoutBlue themes. Any suggestions?

any idea how to enable hdmi feature? I tried install appreal hdmi, but seems wont work.

Install a rom with more blur, like Apex or Darkslide.

The aosp roms like Liberty and Rubix do not support HDMI output yet. There's something in the motorola blur framework that gets taken out in aosp roms that breaks hdmi.

I'm not sure who's working on it, but I'm sure someones trying to make that work for aosp.

thanks for the info, i havent notice for the hdmi feature still being issue, yeah because the device with hdmi output still rare :) and one of reason why i purchase DX because it have hdmi.

any chance this issue will be taken out in LIBERTY 1.5 ??? hehe :)

The Toolbox was edited not to work with other roms? Seems pretty ridiculous to me considering they edit the boot logo which can't be changed by flashing another rom or a .sbf and the easiest way to change it if you forget is just to download the toolbox

Exclusivity. Devs work hard on apps to set their work apart from the crowd. A lot of times they do it for free. Its nice for them to be able to maintain credit and rights to their work.

Actually boot logo changes if you properly wipe data/cache.
I never had a problem with boot logo when switching the rom without flash SBF. I did that with GummyJar>Liberty>rubiX>Liberty and I have no problem what so ever

He's talking about boot logo, not boot animation! Wiping will not reset.... Youbcan download boot logo changer in market for DX & D2. It will flash the original m logo, of let you flash one of your choice ...
