Is there any other dialer that would work instead of the transparent smoked glass. I really don't like the look of the smoked glass and would think that there must be another dialer theme that would work the same way to patch the problem. If anyone knows or has a link to another dialer I can try I am more than happy to test it and report my results.

I did the SD partitioning but dialer/contacts still force closes. Transparent glass for now I guess.:icon_evil:

ROM looks very promising, I haven't tried it yet, but just wanted to point something out real quick. Those of you trying to use the bowers' framework-res.apk fix know that the most reliable way of applying it is with adb through the recovery system, right? Every time I tried to apply a modded framework file via the phone I always got boot loops.

So, boot your phone into your favaorite custom recovery, plug your phone in to your computer, in the recovery menu find the option to mount system. Put the "kb_and_haptic_framework-res.apk" in the same folder as your adb.exe file (tools) open a command proimpt and then enter this command (withou the quotes): "adb push kb_and_haptic_framework-res.apk /system/framework/framework-res.apk". Then unmount system in your recovery, reboot and try that.

I flashed this rom (after making a backup of CM 6 Revo Remix) and I absolutely love it. I'm just hoping for an eventual fix to the dialer. That Smoked Glass one is not as great. Also Facebook sync seems to be disabled and/or not working, but Twitter and Google Contacts do.

Save those two minor tweaks, I'll probably just backup and go back to CM6 until the issues are ironed out. Great find zenulator and thanks for porting it! I can't wait to use it as my main OS soon.

Dont know if it will help, but I flashed over the 9-27 CM Nightly without wiping and the dialer worked, but constant force close on framework.

If you open contacts and use the dialer on it (at the bottom right) it works to make calls. Not so much when trying to receive calls.

Those who grab the file I made. How did you push it to the system? I usually would do this through an update.zip. I will try all of this out tonight. Would do it now but I really need to be able to use my phone and tethering.

I had to flash back from miui to UD8 because the phone was unstable on incoming calls. I really hope this gets figured out shortly, which it seems like it will be.

I finally got it to work. I flashed this rom over chevy ss4.8 without wipe. I got tons of FCs at first. I ran the fix permissions through rom manager and then I did the fix on xda. It worked no FCs at all after the fix and all the location apps are working dancedroid:icon_ banana:dancedroid

I like the idea and there are certain parts i really love but i gotta say i miss the app drawer an awful lot...i'm ocd about programs i don't ever use being on my home screens.

Is there anyway to pull the lockscreen that is in this rom and use it elsewhere? this is like one of the coolest things i've seen

Trying this rom now. Beautiful Widgets and Yahoo News & Weather can't find my location. Google Maps can find my location no problem. GPS and wireless networks are both checked. Any ideas on what the prob is?

Just flash this rom over an existing rom you are using and dont wipe date or anything. Once it boots up you will get FCs so do the fix permissions through rom manager then follow instructions how to use the xda. its zip to fix contacts but instructions. YOu can find it here [How to] Fix acore and google services framework force close - xda-developers. the keyboard back light still dont work and and the apps are not showing up in market...:icon_eek:...Its good for me for now until the devs figure out the whole thing dancedroid

One issue I found was the wallpaper. I went to my gallery and attempted to use one of my pictures as a Wp and phone rebooted and wp was not changed. I haven't kept up with all the threads and someone may have mentioned this before..Apologize in advance for maybe asking the question twice..

It wont work. I been asking around and no one gave me an answer. the best is to install this rom over an existing rom and dont wipe or anything. My location apps work now by doing that :icon_ banana:
