how do you flash the "update" for the phone and contacts ? everything seems to work, but I got fc every time i try to look at one of my contacts.

Just install the update just like you would any other rom, just dont wipe anything or delete anything.

First, I have to say this ROM has some of the greatest features i have ever seen. I hope other ROMS pick up on these features, and become more like this one. But, I dont like the fact that there is no app drawer, and all your apps are just spread out everywhere( Yes, I know there are folders). Also, everytime i unlock the screen its in a different app? and it did not sync any of my apps that were on my sd card (Please tell me if im doing something wrong?) So, for now while this ROM is in it's beginning stages, I think im going to stay with bugless.

I agree with you about apps being all over the place. It would be nice if they defaulted to alphabetical order.

i can confirm that the kb_hf_framework-res.apk that thebowers posted fixes the keyboard backlight issue, i have changed the eri.xml to VERIZON WIRELESS, i used all caps though,if anyone wants it i can post it, im not getting any fcs. i followed what others have stated. install rom over existing rom,no wipe, go into settings>>apps>>>manage apps>>>the all tab>>>find contage storage and wipe data>>>find framework service and wipe data on it also. need to edit the build.prop so downloaded apps show in market,right now i only see paid apps

All of you guys having freezing and rebooting issues, there is a 90% chance it has to do with the kernel included in the rom. Flash a lower clockspeed or higher voltage kernel and see if that helps. I have had no issues what so ever apart from the main issue from the port (no kb backlight, no MIUI dialer). I think the arguement for an appdrawer is sort of.... missing the point. This source modification is an attempt at completely changing how users interact with Android. If you remove major parts of it, you dont get the full scope, so please, stop with the requests. Zen and Jamezelle are merely porting over the MIUI teams extremely hard work, so respect the original developers and the extremely well planned interface that they have given us.

ok so I installed this an hour ago, I did back up everything with Titanium and just finish restoring, I applied the "update" for the contacts and now seems I can make calls but every I end a call I got a "FC" (com.android phone has stopped unexpectedly.) What else can I do? or should I go back to my previous ROM (SS 4.8) and reinstall this one without wipe and then apply the "update" ... ? any ideas?

can't wait to see further development on this rom.. flashed it and played with it for a bit, but had to restore my nandroid backup of the smoked glass themed rom i was using.. once everything is all figured out, im for sure gonna flash this one again. facebook not syncing sucks, i want all my contacts to have pictures! also market apps didn't restore, i would have to download myself, or restore with titanium. lockscreen and gui for the rom are sick tho. and the power control notification bar thingy! WOW! def will donate to whatever dev gets this one working up to par!

the majority of us installed this Rom after wipe data however you will get tons of Fcs in dial pad and contacts. therefore someone sugested installing without wipe and follow instructions on xda site for a fix. I done that and no FCs since dancedroid

While that may have worked for you, i installed with 4 wipes, loaded the rom up and installed the dialer fix on main page of this thread. Never had a force close after that. Only reason i switched roms was i ran out of space from all my apps

Wow...nice attitude ...how bout "hey folks you could use ADW or LP instead" I don't think I'd classify it as "crying" just didn't realize that i'd retain the app launcher if i stuck with one of those.

Anyone else having issues with SetCpu profiles? Mine never seemed to leave my screen off profile when i flipped my screen on...could it be a kernel thing?
