[ROM] Zen-MIUI v2 Android 2.2 + MIUI

the majority of us installed this Rom after wipe data however you will get tons of Fcs in dial pad and contacts. therefore someone sugested installing without wipe and follow instructions on xda site for a fix. I done that and no FCs since dancedroid

I'm having a noobish issue here (I posted on the XDA but not sure how fast I'll get an answer) How do I wipe the contact and framework data as suggested in the fix?

go to settings>>application>>>manage application>>.choose the all tab>>.scroll down to those apps>>.choose wipe

Sweet thanks...seems to have worked no more FC....now will the contacts resync or do i have to do that manually? (I'm not in service right now so i can't test until i get outta work)

I have had no problems after installing fix except one when i turn off my wifi the 3g signal does not come back

I tested mine and my 3G came back :icon_eek:

What i did was clear the data for gmail too so it can start syncing. Give it some time and your contacts will show up. Enjoy dancedroid

i can confirm that the kb_hf_framework-res.apk that thebowers posted fixes the keyboard backlight issue, i have changed the eri.xml to VERIZON WIRELESS, i used all caps though,if anyone wants it i can post it, im not getting any fcs. i followed what others have stated. install rom over existing rom,no wipe, go into settings>>apps>>>manage apps>>>the all tab>>>find contage storage and wipe data>>>find framework service and wipe data on it also. need to edit the build.prop so downloaded apps show in market,right now i only see paid apps

How did u load kb_hf_framework-res.apk? I tried the app but it does not load. please list how u did it and the vzw fix. thank u so much. nob here.

I will make an update.zip of that framework-res.apk so people can install it without issues. Thanks sneaky for letting me know.

That sucks. I remember back in the days they used to say set your phone to airplane mode then back. YOu can try that and see it works. Good Luck

Will somebody make an update.zip of the edited eri.xml? I chaned it to Verizon but I loaded and had some problems. Also, I loaded that other framework and I got FC on phone. (Fixed permissions, cleared data on phone, contacts storage, google services framework, etc..)

Agreed! Holy crap now that i found out i can use LP with this...I'm hooked....just gotta keep up with working out the kinks i find but so far this is great...it's quick and pretty
