anyone try to install the new "car home" app from the market. The download fails to install every time for me. Any ideas how to get this new app install??

That problem occurs when you are trying to install an update to a system file that was previously only updated via system updates and not available into the market. Google has been making more and more of these apps available in the market, and as such there is no need to have them in the /system/app folder anymore. I've run into the issue with Google Search, Voice Search, Street View, etc.

The solution is to go into /system/app and delete the CarHome.apk. Then reboot, and install Car Home in the market.

Any progress on this? this is pretty much the only bug i've found once i got this rom up and running

We're working on this as we speak. We have a good idea of why it isn't working, we just need to figure out where to fix it.

The older version of Facebook will sync and I'll use syncmypix for the pictures YAY!

Another question, after reading the guys post about NOT using SetCPU...when you pull down the notification window, what is the CPU button on the right side?! and why is it F-mode and not P-mode? haha

EDIT: Also one thing, I have no notification light for e-mail? I switched my SMS to blue and it works. No e-mail light though? Anyone else?

email light is another function of this being built for another phone...feature just hasn't been ported yet all the options are for "trackball" colors

About the 3g......on bgills newest build I've had good 3g service with it. On some of the older non themed ones 3g would just go away sometimes but been pretty solid with the newer builds.

Try one of the modded versions either by me or bgill. They have all of the available fixes. The 3g issue has been fixed in mine. Probably in bgill's too.

For those of you asking about Facebook.... It works with either a fix or one of the modded roms. All of the user data syncs Just not the photos... It's a bug in the original MIUI rom as far as I can tell.

That's the weird thing though, trackball color in SMS actually worked on the notification light. I understand though so I can live with no e-mail light for now. My SMS light works

It appears it's a bit more complicated as in /system/app there is CarHomeGoogle.apk AND CarHomeLauncher.apk. I'm trying to work out which one to remove now.

EDIT: It just worked for me by removing CarHomeGoogle.apk, rebooting, and then installing Car Home via market. Thanks for the tip off that there was an updated version of that app.

What's the fix? I've got the AccountAndSyncSettings.apk fix, and Facebook shows up in my accounts, but it is not synced with my contacts.

Quick question (I KNOW, I'VE ASKED ENOUGH ALREADY!) but yes, I have reverted to old Facebook, fine. It is syncing but when I click 'Sync only in contacts' it proceeds to sync EVERYONE on my Facebook, not so fine. Any idea?

in your contacts list hit the menu button and make sure it is only contacts with phone numbers, should fix it.
