[HACKS] Root Droid 1 - regardless of OS version

Another big Thank you to Motocache and everyone else that helps out here. This thread pushed me over the edge to finally root ! .. .. Again , Thanks ..

So what should I do next ? Things I would like to do are , 1. Back up my phone ,, 2. overclock ,, 3. tether ,, 4 . Try a Rom with all this built in..hmmmm.. I have so much to learn still ..:icon_eek:.. Can someone point me in the right direction ? ..

Mac? Install a virtual box and then run a Linux live CD like Puppy, use the terminal there to run the code for ADB above, should be good.

I used the instructions and got it first try!! I am so excited that I am rooted but have a question, the whole reason I rooted is to get the Lithium pink theme... how do I get that on my Droid?? save it to SD card and update??
