Root on Incredible 2

In all reality, as well, what is different about Gingerbread??

Some things I've noticed...

  1. new theme/skin whatever you call it.
  2. Gmail notification in tray is different
  3. Gmail interface is different (better imo)
  4. In the nofication tray, there is a new Quick Settings tab thatshows (Wifi, hotspot, mobile network, BT, GPS with ability to do a 1-touch on/off) plus a quick link to the Settings shortcut.
  5. Increased battery life. I've gone 26 hours with alot of streaming from Digitally Imported Radio walking to my car and plugged into my car's aux. I just plugged it in due to a meeting, but I was at 30% left.
  6. NYTimes bookmark (i don't pay attention nor visit it)
  7. A new Download folder, to I think keep anything you download.
  8. menus go a bit faster for me. I was lagging a bit with the phone contact menu page, now it shows everyone's pictures fairly quickly.

I'm Baaaaack!!!

uh oh....
now i hit my market icon...
it flashes and takes me nowhere & does nothing!

Go into manage applications again. Find market. Clear cache and force stop. See if that works.

Personally, I think I'm just gonna wait until they release a gingerbread root, since I already updated; and to my knowledge there isn't a way to revert back to 2.2 from 2.3. I could b wrong though.

Hbsurfer try clearing data for market in manage apps. If you are running a custom rom you may want to make sure you have a backup of your system through recovery too.

And yes there isn't a way currently to roll the device back to 2.2 or root Gingerbread yet. You can root Gingerbread via a hardware method (XTC clip) but you won't be able to go back to S on I believe. I am not rooted myself.

oh mmmmy

no custom rom other than that "gingersense" that i was told on here!
i thought it was fine yesterday!
i went in and cleared data in manage apps already.
ugh!
nothing wrong do you think?!
i sure hope not!!!

anyone got a blackberry?

paying for the "clip"?
what is a clip?
anyone help me here? other than this market issue i'm having...this thing really is INCREDIBLE!!!! (2) LOL
