Hbsurfer lol...you have me laughing the whole time. Happy to hear your success story though. I'll be doing the same process soon myself.

Laughing at me?!?!?.....i feel so unloved!!!

ok it seems all is good until i was being laughed at! LOL
ok so NOW can you download the GB?!
will it affect the root!?

any thoughts out there?

Unfortunately we will lose root if we install that GB update. But if GB has been released now there will be custom ROMs with it rooted!

Yes you can. Download the Gingerbread ROM that's on XDA and maybe here that has been debloated and optimized. I'm running that now and it is rock solid, as well as fast. You'll love it.

There already is. Check out Gingersense. Based on the OTA release, rooted, debloated, and a few other things. I'm running it now and love it.

Good point, to be clear, load the custom Gingerbread ROM available. Believe it is from rmk40. Something along that line.

*edit: posted at same time as others, didn't see above threads, sorry:)

If you are rooted and you take the Gingerbread OTA update you will lose root, and there is no way to currently reroot.

You will have to load a Gingerbread based Rom on your device made by a developer if you are rooted. You will have to install it through clockwork recovery most likely. But like I said before, I haven't messed around with any type of root stuff on Inc2 yet myself, so not totally sure of the process.

So wait where would I download Gingersense? And it wouldn't take away my root because it's a custom ROM? No way, that was fast!
