I didn't. It was automatically done when I installed in from Clockwork Recovery. Kept all my settings from stock...apps too.

That is the one to use if you want to stick close to stock.

Works fine with just the main download. You can do the radio, but strictly speaking, it isn't required. My phone was fine without it, but I ended up doing it anyway.

downloaded the gingerbread download you guys linked to
put on phone
went into recovery
chose file to install and came back aborted

Cool I loaded it but the biggest complaint is that the compass still isn't fixed yet like it is in the Verizon OTA update. Of course I'm rooted but this is a big deal to me.

Should be. The Gingersense ROM is taken from the VZW OTA update.
