Weird question...

Messing with a bar mod.. I have an issue I can't figure out. :S

Someone have the 100% battery icon (full battery).. when plugging in the charger, do you get the charging icon? or does it stay on the 100% icon?

I just wiped data/cache a few hundred times, several bar mods, and an .sbf later.. still getting this. :S

Just me?

Blur Gallery will not work with this. The gallery from fission is as close as it gets.

In other news, I made a big breakthrough on HDMI last night, I CAN confirm it's not working, even with real HDMI. Give me a few days guys, and I should have it fixed, whether my own custom way, real hdmi, in gallery, or all of the above :)

Thanks drod2169. I flashed this [http://www.sephtin.com/rubiX/DX_Gallery(BlurGalleryFromFission).zip] in Bootstrap, but I still only have the 3D version of the gallery in my app drawer. It's a minor issue, and I understand it's unsupported and certainly not a priority for you, but the 3D Gallery really drives me nuts.

Thanks,
J

I've been trying to test this.. but working on my black bar mod, I .. got a little creative, and had to .sbf to fix. :P.. and unfortunately I haven't had time to finish loading back to the ROM... heh. Know more soon....

Thanks Seph! Looking forward to the black bar mod, too. I'm sorry you have to .sbf, but it makes me feel better that I've had a to do a few .sbfs recently myself!

Doesnt show charging......at least for me.

Sephtin,

When fully charged and plugged in it shows just 100 and does not continue to show the charging icon.

On the battery life issue, I just downloaded Watchdog, set it to "aggressive" and will report back if anything interesting pops up.

What about overall performance of the battery though? If you just undervolt it can you get away with not overclocking it?

Pardon my n00bness...I've never gotten into overclocking in general (even on my desktop), just never saw a reason. :)

You are going to get 1000 MHz regardless of whether that is at 48V or 68V... Running it with a lower voltage, if your phone can handle it, will do only one thing: increase battery life/reduce battery consumption.

Gotcha, guess that mean I'll have to update then :)

So versus having to read through 25+ pages of posts, what seems to be the best/most stable settings? Would you need to set a voltage for each speed setting? i.e. the 300, 600, 800 and 1000mhz

...and can I still use setCPU? The underclock feature when the screen is off works wonders :)

It seems different for every phone. My phone is very finicky. I can't take it above 1.15 GHz or below 56vsel... I have mine at

300/27
600/32
800/40
1150/56 or 1000/53 depending on my mood :P

You may be able to go lower, but I'd be surprised if my settings don't work for you.

edit: As for Set CPU, yes you can:

If a voltage setting doesn't take, is it easy to fix? I hope a SBF flash isn't necessary ;)

Well.. At least it's not my sanity. I guess I just wish I could get my .xml to compile in framework-res.. I'd solve this the easy way... Looks like it was implemented slightly differently than I would've done it.. (?).

IF you set it to keep the setting on reboot, then ya, it could lead to a .sbf.
(I'd not set it at boot, until it has been thoroughly tested...

Hmm...in that case maybe I'll give v1.6 to mature a little bit and let everyone else workout the bugs. Restoring the SBF takes too damn long ;)

Pretty easy... I don't know how the patch changed things, but how I did it was:

Booted up with the ULV settings in lowvolt.sh... this gave the phone about 5 minutes before rebooting, which was plenty of time for me to copy lowvolt.sh and rename it to setscaling100.sh then run a script in terminal emulator to apply my new voltages. If they didn't work, I'd either get a reboot instantly, after a few minutes, or the phone slowed to a crawl and I'd click my reboot widget from Quick Boot. Upon boot I could start over, altering the voltages as necessary a little at a time until it didn't reboot anymore. Generally the voltage setting for the 1000 MHz scale is going to be the culprit if anything is going wrong.

I literally tried 30 different settings... never had to SBF.

Hey sephtin. I used your blk bar mod on rubix 1.0 and liked it. But with 1.6 I like the 10% battery view up top. Will the new bar mod that you are working on have the battery status like that?
