rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

Everyone, no drama in the thread. I'll have it closed if it continues. I respect p3droid and the work he does. I wouldn't of made a leak version if I didn't.

Its your risk and understanding of the leak and the consequences involved. Simply don't load if you don't want to have a system only sbf. We can't edit anything else anyways, there really is no need for a full at this time.

That's the end of it.

Does anyone know how to get Tango to work with this ROM 1.8.9, I have installed it but it does not seem to find anyone of the other family members or friends that have it installed.

Thank you to for your help on this..:):)

More info plz?
By "Tango", I assume you mean an app.. an appbrain search brings up 10 different Tango's, everything from emotes, to smart.fm client, to video calls... ?

Also, what's happening when you try to use it? Does it give an error? What fails?
The more info you provide, the easier it is to try and help. :)

Doing anything blindly -- without taking the time to thoroughly research and understand what you are doing and what the risks are -- to a $500 piece of equipment is generally ill-advised.

For example: I've been obsessing over the new Team Black Hat leak, and I follow the thread at mydroidworld.com, and as much as it sounds like the majority of people are having good (even great) success with this leak, I'm not about to do something to my phone that doesn't have a full, fool-proof life-preserver in case of SNAFU. I'm happy to wait for the OTA, when I'll do a full SBF and apply the OTA to a non-rooted system. If things go south then, it's Verizon's problem!

(No disrespect intended to TBH or anyone running the leak. It's just a bit too risky for my taste!)

Very well said.
I might add, while I've heard much confidence thrown about.. that the leak IS the version that's coming out from Moto/VZW.... just saying, that if it's not.. there are going to be a lot of people STUCK on that version. the OTA is a patch, it doesn't replace files, it modifies them (mostly, anyway). So, if you're not on the leak, you can't go back, and (POSSIBLY... but we won't know until OTA announced) maybe you can't go forward to OTA either.

Small risk, I know (As I trust TBH, well, I trust P3... and what I've been told... :)
BUT, it's a risk. *shrug*

Again, same as previously posted.. nothing against TBH or the devs, or those that have installed the leak and are enjoying their goodness.. I'm sure everything will work out...

NO ONE AND I MEAN, no one who has updated will be stuck when the OTA comes out. before this was released you have to have known we have a way back. I'm just sayin...

Lol lovin it you tell those non believers ive been on every leak and done every ota thanks to p3 not once has he left me hanging If you do not respect this man then you do not deserve the droid in your hands. (whichever family member it may be)

P3Droid releases amazing work and if he says he has a way back then ill beleive him. All I can figure is he is working out bugs and perfecting that way back.

As far as people who have bricked there phones installing the leak:

First you either did not follow the instructions correct or second you have a faulty phone.

Me and my wife both have the dx and when the moto 2.2 ota was released we both installed it from a bone stock 2.1 and mine went fine. My wifes phone had something defective which would just bootloop and not allow the update no matter how many times I sbf'd and retried. We had her phone replaced and she has no more problems.

So what I'm getting at is either people that have bricked there phones can't follow instructions or they have a faulty phone which needs replaced anyways.

Hmm, Good question!

As per the first post... IF you have installed the 2.3.320 LEAK, then you install 1.9.3. If you have not, then install 1.8.9. (If you're not sure, then you probably don't have it, and you want 1.8.9).

As to the wipe.. that's a tough one. You can try it without wiping data/cache, and if you have any problems, go ahead and wipe. It might not work... but won't hurt to try it. :)

GL!

99% of people who have a droid have never even heard of P3Droid and dont have anything on their phone affiliated with his work. guess they don't deserve their droids tho since he helped you out a few times....

There is a new leak... it's like an OTA, which upgrades baseband, etc., only there isn't a full .sbf for it, only a /system .sbf. If you don't have it, then you want 1.8.9. If you have upgraded to it, then you want 1.9.3.
