rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

What about the fact that it shows incorrect system info for version.

wow... you really want to bring that up again? come on, its nothing. if you really care, go in the build.prop and change it.

why is everyone making such a big deal about the rom version?

Some people -- namely, people who can't be bothered to flip through the thread -- get freaked out that they flashed the wrong ROM (or the ROM wrong) when the system info doesn't mesh with their expectations. I don't think there's anything wrong with being alarmed by this, but I do think there's something less-than-noble about asking a question that has been answered repeatedly in the thread. (Though I wouldn't mind it if Drod/Seph would add a note about this to the front page to abort a few people from asking this question.)

Most people don't take the time to read the first post anyways. Ive had numerous people install my theme over stock 2.2 then wonder why they get boot loops and constant force closes... Its amazing. I had one guy PM saying the theme didn't work for him and that I should put the ROM it works for in the thread.... It was in the thread, the title, the zip file name, I couldn't have made it any clearer which ROM it was for lol.

Patience is a virtue.

It's a fair point, and probably why p3droid had so much fun with colors and large fonts in the leak OP.

Actually, I wouldn't do a fresh install yet... I'd give it a couple days. I noticed that on the first day on 1.8.6 and 1.8.9 I saw about 10% an hour drain following a battery stats wipe... but on the second day on 1.8.6 I got 24 hours of battery. So far I'm on around 12 hours or so and at 70% today, which is day 2 on 1.8.9. Just be patient :)

Wow. I wouldn't have gotten the extended battery if I was seeing that. Are you underclocked or undervolted?

Check my sig, I'm running 1 GHz at low voltage.

I'm running 1ghz at ulv (4 below at each cpu speed). I wonder how much undervolting really helps?

But I'm on fission. I used to use rubix and switched. Thinking of switching back. Is the battery life better?

So I was one of the lucky ones that bricked my phone trying to install leak and was stuck in bootloader. So now getting replacement in the mail and starting from scratch. So I have a few questions for everyone. Do the new X's come with 2.2? What program is the best for rooting? I had my prior phone set up so trying to remember if there is anything else I am missing before install. Thanks for the info!

If you were trying to install the leak, shouldn't you be asking in a forum for the leak? That would have more experienced people helping you. Also did you have root before this? Use z4root. You might want to really do some research before trying it again. Its not very hard to get out of a bricked state with these phones, but if your not paying attention with the leaks, you will just end up having to redo it all.

They do come with 2.2 and if not, then just sbf. And if you dont understand how to or what sbf is than you really should not be trying to install a leaked os.

I have a theory on this. Let me run it by Drod before I cause you to do anything potentially dumb. Stay tuned.

Maybe it's the build version you're on, have you checked to make sure it's correct?

Listen I've rooted, installed ROMS 100 times..I was simply asking. Sorry to just ask a question. Of course I had root and yes its tough to get out of an unbricked state when there are no sbf's to use and your phone won't get into bootloader. I know what I am doing....again simply asking...stop trying to be the smart guy in the room.

Ok, back on friendly note: the new X's come with 2.2, and evidently the easiest root method is via z4root or whatever it's called...I used a program called "RootMyX" which worked nicely...

Anyway, good luck with the new X! If you need further help, don't be afraid to ask...just don't ask about why your phone says Focused 1.8.6 after installing 1.8.9, haha! The purpose of this forum is bringing Android friends together to share & help one another! :)

Well said. Some really great people answering questions here.. and a few inside jokes (that are to be had, if you read through the entire thread.... ;)
Most if not all questions are answered here, and in a timely manner too! Lots of people are enjoying Focused.

I would have long long ago, but my first post in this thread was page 3... which 99% of people will never read. :P
Drod didn't tell me he was releasing.. so *shrug*
