Good question, but no. Focused is deodexed already, so by installing it you get deodexed rather than having to do it yourself.

Are there any additional ROMs you guys suggest for Rubix?
I want to have it run like my overclocked froyo 2.2 did, but look generally cleaner and nicer.

I can't personally vouch for any other ROMs because I haven't used them. What I can say is that I'm pretty sure you won't find a cleaner, snappier running ROM than Focused 1.8.9. You can easily use a terminal emulator to apply jrummy's overclock script just like you had before as well.

And is it possible to synch my facebook contacts with my phone ones like they did in froyo?

Depends on what you want in a theme. If you want something simple that just gives you a black bar, then sephtin's black bar mod is great. If you want a little more than that, check out Juicemane's Black Juice Blue and Green themes. I even have a modification of Black Juice Blue you could use if you'd like. If you want to get crazy and change everything there is to change, you might want to check out the newest theme I've seen posted, Dark Berry.

Under the Drod2169 sub-forum there are several themes listed. Any themes that say they are for rubiX Focused 1.6 or above will work on 1.8.9. The simplest one you can get is sephtin's Black Bar Mod, followed by Juicemane's Black Juice series. These are pretty simple yet effective themes.

Yea Juicemane has made a pretty solid Theme for it, been using his since I have been running Focused.

Just wanted to say this rom is awesome. I am using it with blackbarmod and am in heaven. Thanks to those who have put your time into this. This is my first Droid and I have come down a long road of customizing phone (XV6800 and BBs) and this just kills them.

Okay, I tried to install black juice green, and all that happens is it boots into recovery and then it shows the android with a triangle ! and then it reboots..
