rubiX Focused 1.8.9/1.9.3

Yes it was plugged in all the way.
Yes there was power to the outlet.
No I don't have a switch that turns off the outlet.

I can't seem to figure out why. At first I thought my power went out with all the rain we have but my tv was still on and my laptop didn't show any battery loss.

ok better question to all of this would be... When plugged in now does it charge? If it does then I would not know what would have caused it one time to not charge. If it doesn't then I would try a different charger. Still no charge, then i would try a battery. Next I would SBF see if it then charges. If the battery is really I would not try to SBF the phone.

I changed the usb cable that I use to charge and powered off the phone and it is charging fine. Going to power it on and wipe the battery stats when it is fully charged.

Think I may have found a cure, b4 installing ROM wipe battery stats, Dalvik wipe data/cache, after install run a factory data reset....seemed to have corrected issue @ least for me I was using it for about 4 hours steady today and only dropped about 20%.......give it a try and post your findings as well to confirm

I also tried to go back to my old computer and like I don't know if it was the computer because it was being slow as hell but it also wouldn't recognize there... now if I ever have to .sbf I'm screwed

After the Rubix install my laptop sees the my X but my DT doesn't. I've searched and all I get is more confusion. Do I need to SBF? Is there a work around without doing so?

Running Fission 2.1 and the MTP USB Drivers won't install on my new 64 bit Win7

Every other driver installs fine I've already downloaded the lastest drivers and tried to use device manager.

I've seen people with the same problem say that installing Android SDK and updating packages worked but idk what rom if any they were running

Humungus, Im experiencing the exact same battery drain as you. ksoftirqd is using alot of CPU time. Im on 1.8.9 coming from 1.8.6. I installed and wiped only cache. Everything is very snappy. The only down side being my battery life now. I considered wiping data and cache as I usually have but others have reported getting bad battery regardless of whether they wipe or not. Any idea of how this can be fixed?

Update:

I cleaned out my sdcard by copying everything to my desktop, formatting the sdcard from within 'settings' and copying back just my media and backup stuff (music, notification sounds, wallpapers, apps and roms). I then reinstalled 1.9.3 after wiping data, wiping cache, formatting system, and installing .zip.

After booting up I let Google reinstall all of my apps, and so far the problem seems to have gone away. It's now been 2.5 hours and I just went down to 80% (keep in mind that the first 30 minutes after an install involve heavy downloading, installing, and configuring). ksoftirqd has accounted for only 3% of use, which doesn't strike me as ridiculously out of whack (though it could still be). I haven't restored app data with Titnanium yet, so we'll see if things go down hill after that.

I suggest doing the same with 1.8.9.

I will definitely try your suggestions. Thank you, for your input. I'll report my findings tomorrow after a long train ride. That should be a good barometer for my battery life. :icon_ banana:

Anyone know the default voltages in rubix? I usually use 1ghz at ulv but I'd like to know what the default is.

Just to update again, I don't think my battery problems are fixed. Check out the following:

Early on, things were fine. It appears the cpu was able to sleep/hibernate/whatever when use was minimal. During this time, by the way, ksoftirqd was accounting for only a small percentage of use. But, over time, the cpu appears unable to sleep and, as the second picture shows, ksoftirqd starts to run a lot (constantly?). I'm not sure what's going on, but I've switched over to Fission for now to compare. I'll report back.

sorry has been a long day....DT??

Desk top. And yes it has been a very long day. And if I understand I can't SBF now. Now how do I get my desk top to once again see my Droid X. What a mess.

I have had twice and I had to delete then reinstall the drivers from the motorola website. That's what worked for me.

hmm, good post... i may have to go back to 1.8.6. Mine has been doing ok on sleep but when i start using the phone, the battery seems to drain quicker.

also what app are you using? I use a combination of spare parts as well as juiceplotter.
