yes rsd 4.8 is fine. if you get an error when you try to flash make sure you patched rsd correctly.

i just did this it ran fine now i cant get off the screen battery pull and evverything nothing works

RSD Lite 4.8 yep. Now you just need the sbf file and follow the instructions that are probably somewhere on the interwebz...
Take battery out
Hold Home button
Put battery in
When you see M logo, release Home button
This takes you to stock recovery
Press search button
Wipe data/cache
Reboot

As far as i know rsd lite 4.8 is the latest. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Ive been running the leak fine since it came out so this will be my first time with 2.3.320 system only sbf. First attemp failed. I just wiped data and cache and im trying again. Just whatever you do dont try the 2.2 sbf.

Okay then what did you mean when you said "I just did this it ran fine"? I assumed this meant you did the .sbf?

yes i ran the sbf until it finished now im stuck on a screen i had before i did that
Are you sure it completed? It usually reboots the phone for you...
ok my 2.3.320 system only sbf worked fine. Here is what I did
(This is for people who updated to the 2.2.1 (2.3.320) leak only)
*turn the phone off by pulling the battery out and make sure you dont have the usb plugged in.
*put you battery in
*hold home and power button down at the same time until you see the droid with an exclamation mark above his head.
*press the search button on you phone to pull up menu.
*wipe data and cache
*when it is finished pull the battery again and put it back in
*hold the camera button, vollume down button and power button until you enter the bootloader screen
*now plug your phone back up to your computer
*open rsd lite 4.8 and preform the 2.3.320 system only sbf (takes a while)
note: you will have to extract the sbf .zip file before you can plug it into rsd lite
Do not try and sbf back to 2.2 sbf. You will brick your phone
