Check my sig, I would assume the framework from 1.8.9 and 1.9.3 are the same? Any input Drod?

As per drod, the framework-res files between 1.8.9, and 1.9.3 are EXACTLY the same.

this may be a stupid question as the answer is most likely "thats a blur feature" but with focused is there anyway to set custom ringtones for individuals?

No need for the sad face.... a "known issue" means it can and from what I've seen of Drod WILL be fixed... i just assumed it was a flat out NO. Besides in all honesty with the way this Rom runs and the battery life I've gotten (granted its only been a day or two) I would trade having custom ringtones... I can always look @ my 4.3 inch screen and read the person's name who is callin me.

I don't know what to do now...I was on the 2.2 leak and running focused 0.5, 1.0, and then 1.6...I wanted to update to 1.8.9 but I wanted to.start fresh so I sbfed back to 2.1 then did the ota then rooted and installed 1.8.9..I've been noticing the battery dropping.faster than ever..1.6 wasn't that good for me but this bad..from 60% to 40% in about 15 min...no apps installed except bootstrap and handcent...don't know what im gonna do...I wiped data and cache before and after sbf...again after the OTA..installed focused and wiped again..

You should try to charge your phone up before flashing roms, then you could wipe the battery stats and begin anew. I just reinstalled this rom with about 60% battery (not following my own advice, I know), and when it installed it said I had 80%. I know I don't have 80%, so I expect some wonkiness (like you mentioned) before it drains down to near empty. Try running the thing almost all the way down, recharging, wiping battery stats, and then see how your battery life is.

Is there a way to get the old transitions back? I prefer launcher pro and the transitions don't play well with launcher pro

I was just going to post this. New transitions work fine with ADW, but get mangled with Launcher Pro.

Hopefully we can either get a fix or a .zip to flash back to the stock animations.

I guess we know which launcher Drod and his testers run Why do devs always run ADW? I've tried to convert probably 5 times but keep going back to LP for some reason or another. I'll use this as an excuse to give ADW another try, but I suspect I'll be back with LP before too long.

But short version as to why I prefer ADW.. it's lighter, and for the most part faster... but it's OPEN SOURCE. LPP is CLOSED SOURCE... which in my book is TOTALLY enough to keep me away when there are open alternatives!

Thanks for the headsup about the framework files. I imagine I'll just push the old version if I switch back to LP.

I've actually found LP to be a bit smoother when scrolling through the app drawer, but other than that I think ADW is a little quicker. LP does have nice options though, like full customization of dock and swipe gestures. I also prefer open source, but that's only if others things are equal. Here's hoping others things are equal this time.

Hey Drod, I just loaded 1.96 not too long ago and setup my whole phone accordingly. Should I be ok loading 1.89 over 1.86 w/out F/C city?

You should be fine. You may want to wipe cache, others have had good luck with that.

If you have troubles, then the first thing to try is wiping data. Hope this helps.

I still haven't. No benefit whatsoever..
Only reason I've been tempted to, is so that when I have to .sbf (which is often), I don't have to use the 2.1 root, then load the 2.2 update from zip, before I can nandroid, or try reloading a ROM or whatever. :S
At this point, no benefit has been found to be on OTA 2.2 over 2.1. And I'm not exactly thrilled about 2.3.320 (or whatever) either.. I personally would like a changelog before switching versions. heh yea, I know.. GL with that.. bleh

Seph, I did that but my about screen shows 1.86, is that supposed to be. I guess I need to wipe data as well huh?
