It shouldn't! If it does, themer probably made other changes than just icons (etc.) to theme it.. (?).
If you DO bootloop loading a compatible theme, and clearing cache doesn't fix it (shouldn't really have an effect on it...), then it's NOT compatible with the framework... pretty much.
after running stock for 2 months I finally pulled the trigger on installing rubix focused 1.9.5. All I can say is WOW dancedroid. All of my issues I had with the stock ROM are gone! Why on gods earth motorola dosn't hire people like Drod is beyond me. They take these phones that are good, and they make them great! Imagine if the bootloader was unlocked. (are you reading this motorola? please remove the chains that hold this great phone back.)
My push email works flawless (biggest issue I had) and the only thing I miss is the Radio. (I never needed to hook up to the HDMI so I don't miss that). Also for some reason the swype keyboard has black letters on one screen that is hard to read. (the one with arrows and home keys and such)
I haven't tried any themes, other than 1.9.5 themed (I like it better than the 1.9.5 stock)
Quick question, if you install a theme, how do you remove it if you don't like it?
Keep up the great work, and I am looking forward to the future.
Yes it is... Under language and keyboard settings, choose Android Keyboard, then uncheck the box that says "Quick fixes" and/or Auto-complete... depending on what you want.
