rubiX Focused 1.9.7, back and better than ever

love this rom. it flys. only problem i am having and it not even a problem is that quick clock never finds a speed to run at. it always asks me to calibrate. when i click on calibrate it goes through its process, reboots starts again, and when it gets to determining max speed it get s all the way to 1400, when it gets to attempting 1500 it hangs , reboots and no results. any idea what might cause this? should i use the droid overclock app and assume that it ran fine at 1400 and that is my limit? any insight would be awesome. thanks guys!

Kinda had same problem every phone is different 1400 is a bit high for my phoine I am running 1300 can go to 1350 but reboots every once in awhile you can use either one Im using jrummy start out low about 1250 run it for awhile then try 1300 etc work your way up when you get into advanced you can set each voltage with different vessel to get best battery power Im not quite sure what to set at yet still learning either way I believe your phone will have its limit just get better battery life

IM a little embarrassed to ask this question! everything ive done to my DX, and all the issues ive overcome, this one has me stumped. When i read my messages the new message notification icon for the messaging app does not go away. The only way to remove it is to clear my notifications. Furthermore the messaging app is set to not display notifications. Why am i having this issue? Thankx for any help in advance.

Just moved back to 1.9.7 after running Apex since it came out, Apex was nice but over the last week i started getting major system FC's etc.. 2-3 battery pulls a day..

This new Version of Rubix is NICE!!

I installed the blur camera to fix the gallery issue.
Idk if my chip on my phone sucks but quickclock @ 1100mhz locks and reboots...
Droidx overlock app works stable at same speed.

Also props to Sephtin for the custom theme generator! great work and cant wait for new options, like Galaxy s icons, etc..

Overall the new Rubix is super fast and the most stable least quirky rom out there at this point.

Hello to everyone!

Been reading about this stuff for sometime now and did in fact try my first rom last night and as some of us all do, I got jammed. Its a Fission Rom, my DroidX was stock so I did in fact got all rooted with Z4root no problem. After that, the first mistake was that I didn't notice from the site where I downloaded the rom from, all of the info was outdated and this rom was not completed. So much for that. My X is booting so thats a plus. I can use it but it needs a good stable rom.

What I need to know is what steps should I take before trying to install this rom of which I'm convinced is the real deal. I don't want to mess this up. So would someone stir me in the rite direction.

Thanks in advance

as long as you are rooted and bootstrapped already, and it sounds like you are if you installed Fission, then the only bit to make sure you do is to wipe data/cache before installing.

That'll prevent bootloops. you will need to reconfigure your whole phone after that.
i use titanium to backup apps and data to make that process a little easier

good luck! let us know if you get stuck

Having a hard understanding your problem from the pics. Is it just that the notification bar tells you that there is a new message. You touch the message from the pulldown, it launches the message app, but the message is persistent in the notification bar?

Yea, after i pull down the notification bar and select the msg it launches the app, i view and even delete the msg and the notification icon is still there until i clear my notifications

Do you have any apps that might be trying to do something with the notification bar, a different messaging app maybe?

That's a new one on me.

the only other messaging app on my phone is chompsms, and that is the program i want to handle my msgs and display notification icons. so when i get a msg i get my chomp notification like im supposed to, and i get the messaging notification even tho is disabled. i view the msg and the chomp icon goes away but the messaging icon never disappears until i clear my notifications. thankx
