rubiX Focused 1.9.7, back and better than ever

the only other messaging app on my phone is chompsms, and that is the program i want to handle my msgs and display notification icons. so when i get a msg i get my chomp notification like im supposed to, and i get the messaging notification even tho is disabled. i view the msg and the chomp icon goes away but the messaging icon never disappears until i clear my notifications. thankx

Have you tried GO SMS? After trying them all on my DX I stuck with Go SMS, its really nice compared to handcent and chomp, and every frequent update always gives us a new great feature. Tested and working great on 1.9.7 too btw,

Sounds like the default messaging app is still putting the notification there. Go into the default messaging and double check the notification is still off

Rubix is awesome. One question though. Every since I installed this rom I cannot find the backup assistant to sync my contacts?

Has anyone else experienced the navigation program reading out loud an xml document instead of giving directions? I noticed this after upgrading from 1.9.5 to 1.9.7

Am glad you found a fix cuz no one else seems to have even commented on this..I may now reload this rom..Thanks

Rubix is awesome. One question though. Every since I installed this rom I cannot find the backup assistant to sync my contacts?

BUA can be hacked into a blurless ROM, but isn't suggested.
Save yourself the headaches, and just migrate those contacts over to google contacts...

I was having the problem with the camera thumbnail not taking me to the gallery when i clicked on it. Switched from 2d to 3d gallery and all is well. I much prefer the 3d gallery. And my only complaint about the non-blur camera is the volume buttons don't zoom :/
Other than that, Awesome rom!
And you should DEFINITELY consider adding a script for data throttling on/off if thats possible.

It requires replacing a framework file.. possibly via script, but just as easy via patch...

New rubix is sick!!! Sephtins mod creator is awesome too!! I am encountering one problem though....didn't find anything on it yet. Seems like google navigation doesn't work. Ill get gps signal and ill get it to give me directions in google maps but when I get to the turn by turn section all it says is "getting driving directions" and never it gets by that. Just syarted woth the newest rubix. Wondering of anyone has an idea or also having this problem. Thanks!

Since this is based off of gummyjar, and Kejar is releasing liberty 1.5 that includes a fix for custom ringtones in the framework, will a patch or anything be available for Rubix? I love Rubix and how smooth it is, but I really like having custom tones on my phone. And before anyone asks, I tried all the tricks to make them work lol.

since rubiX is based on GummyJAR I would imagine that any changes to it will be incorporated into newer version of rubiX.

there's probably a way to incorporate the fix yourself...

Love rubiX roms and they have been the most stable I have used thufar, but I'm having all sorts of trouble with 1.9.7. I am getting a lot of screen freezes and random reboots. Whenever I attempt to zoom (which I used to love pinch to zoom in but it won't allow it with the 2d gallery) after zooming in and then out, the screen freezes and I get a reboot. Whenever I am in an application that kicks out the browser I am getting freezes when I zoom in and then out of the browser. I would say that I'm getting 3-4 reboots a day. I did a clean install of rubiX (date and cache wipe) and the rom is great but the reboots might cause me to leave back to 1.9.5. Any idea what this is happening? Would my luck improve if I flashed the Fission Camera, Gallery, Media .zip's?

Also, if I save the QuickClock app in Titanium can I apply the app to 1.9.5? Just wondered if it was compatable.
