rubiX Focused 1.9.7, back and better than ever

Ok, I applied the throttle patch and I regret it. I need the ability to turn off data when roaming more than I need data throttling removed. Any way back that out?

Sent from my DROIDX using Tapatalk

easiest way it to just boot into clockwork and install rubix again without wiping anything.

If you've got anything custom in /system/ that you don't want to loose (theme, apk, whatever), I could zip up the original files needed to re-enable the throttling.

Let me know if you need me to...

Edit: here you go, the attached file will restore the throttle and re-enable that mobile networks menu you need.

slacker im not one to be all about task kills, its just there cuz it just was installed and i havent removed the notification widget. it has nothing to do with the problem. i am redoing my phone from scratch and will post results.

Well ive been redoing my phone manually and the white text message icon is already back in the notification bar. Honestly it seems like what made it reappear is getting a text msg while my phone was in mass storage mode/or even connected to pc period maybe. Id hate to have to stop using rubix because of something so stupid. Please lend some more help

Is anyone else suffering from a short battery lifespan? I'm relatively new to rooting/theming so this could just be an adverse effect to doing one of the two. My battery seems to be draining at 15% an hour with very minimal usage. I check to see I have any new texts or emails, then put it back in my pocket. I keep autosync and the satellite icons turned off. If anyone has any tips or ideas for me I'd much appreciate it.

This is a completely stupid question, but there isn't any way to instal the BlurEmail.apk and BlurEmailEngine.apk onto this Rom is there? The ASOP version is pretty terrible for Exchange IMO. It just looks like crap and doesn't have HTML support.

I'm assuming it's a similar issue HDMI, and the different frameworks makes this impossible. And I know, I can just go install Blurry. But really, the only Blur thing I like/require is the email app.

The blur email app is integrated with almost a dozen other apps, as well as the framework. If you just install the email app, some features/functions won't work correctly, etc.
The integration is totally horrible.. which is one reason so many people want it gone...

There are also alternative exchange compat. options such as touchdown, etc. available.

Just wanted to chime in with my 2 cents.

Exchange email is such a pain. I work part time for one company, and full time for another. One uses exchange 2010, the other 2003. Both have security policies in place that my phone hates.

I've tried tons of email apps, and I can't get one solution to work with both. The 2010 works fine with blur email, and liberty's email app, but won't work with improved email or others off the market.

The 2003 only works with k-9 or touchdown. I think its a server issue as some people with D2's have it working. So I'm working with the admins to get it to function. So for now I'm running Apex so they can see that I'm on the "official" email they expect for my phone.

It does suck how motorola decided to tie everything together so closely in blur. I can see why, so they could offer "super integration", but it kinda kills the android experience a little bit.

This is my First rom and I love it. Quick question. is it normal to have started with OTA 2.3.*** and after installing this having the about phone section list version 2.2.1?

And plower.net....this might not be ideal, but you could have gmail snatch both email accounts and select to have them labled from their respective accounts and any responses you write will also be labled as coming from those accounts. again, perhaps not ideal but definitely convenient.

OMG, i figured it out. Long process of trial and error but its figured out :) !!! I can finally start putting a theme together, modifying the framework again, and posting more screens!! Ill say off rip it WAS NOT RUBIX at all. Any one that has my issue or wants to know more please ask. Or if anyone thinks i should post more info, just ask and i will.
