rubiX Focused 1.9.7, back and better than ever

I've installed the rom and i LOVE it. Using Darkedge (green) theme for ADW. my only gripe right now is, how do i Lock the icons/desktop? There used to be a lock for ADW but I dont know where it went... I was using ADW EX before but this is a higher version.
If your talking about screen lock its under settings location&security Lock desktop is Under settings press more you get adw seetings and desktop lock

Im not seeing an option for lock, there used to be a lock option but thats when i had ADW EX 1.22 and before i used this rom.

Im not sure if i had the lock function after I had used the rom... When i hit the settings button on home screen I get 6 buttons "add, wallpaper, search, edit, settings, adw settings"

Data Loss Gallery 3d

I have been on Rubix 1.9.7 for 4-5 days and everything was working well. Yesterday after creating some widgets with desktop visualizer I had the phone freeze requiring a hard reboot. It would reboot to the lock screen, and either refreeze immediately when I unlocked or do so just after. After the third or 4th hard reboot I loaded up to DX recovery and rebooted from there and then the phone seemed to work normally. Today I noticed that in my gallery and quickpics all my pictures were missing except for 170 copies of one picture that I had recently downloaded from dropbox. I deleted those repeats and tried to back up data from titanium without success. Looking at file manager the picture data is there in sdcard/dcim/ and in sdcard/dcim/camerazoom, and sdcard/dcim/camera and can be looked at from there but gallery and quickpic say no pictures on sd card. When I take new pictures(both cameras) the gallery finds them for now but quick pic does not. I can live with out quick pic now that I have the 3d gallery, but why can't the gallery access the pictures my pre existing pictures and is there a way to fix that. Since Im not very tech savvy I was wondering if I should just upload them to dropbox from the file and try to down load them from there to the gallery. Any other options? And why does quick pic now not recognize any sd photos at all?
Any input would be appreciated. I have young kids and depend on my phone for frequent photos.

Addendum:
I also tried uninstalling/installing quick pic and camera zoom with no change. I have stopped using desktop visualizer for now although I am not sure of the connection.
Thanks

First time installing a new ROM, and this thing is great! I've been using it since yesterday, and haven't found anything I do not like!

I am however having a problem with video recording. Every time I switch to video from camera, the camera app force closes. This happens every single time no matter what I do, am I doing something wrong?
I had the exact same problem. I flashed the DX Fission Camera I found here

now video works great.

I also reverted back to the stock camera. It seems to be far superior to the android camera. This was the only drawback to installing this ROM.

Gallery problems on rubix 1.9.7

I was hoping that I wouldn't have to reflash but I had the phone freeze twice needing a hard reboot and now the pictures are gone from gallery again. Come to think of it yesterday was the first hard reboot since I flashed the rom 4days ago. I did not use rom manager. I have rubix 1.9.7 zip on my sd card and my stock rom. Should I just reflash from the beginning including wipe data /cache to rubix or w/O wiping. This is my first rom so I have not played around with it much.
Thanks

My yahoo mail account just stopped working today. First it wouldn't sync so I removed the account and went to set it up from scratch. I went through manual setup and all that jazz like I have done probably 30 times and it keeps telling me incorrect username or password. I know both are correct. Anyone got any ideas?

I hope that helped

Yeah I'll try that. I installed the yahoo mail app from the market but some of the reviews said it uses a lot of battery. Thanks for the tip.

Yeah. I've noticed it's much better to use web based emails as you don't need a program, though convenient, has limitations compared to web.

I'll agree to disagree. I much prefer the AOSP cam to the stock cam...

Only issues I have with this rom:

1. Camera doesn't look like it will take 16:9 pictures

2. When in a call in landscape mode (in the car dock), the screen is in portrait (unlike when making a call with the stock dialer)

Otherwise I'm really enjoying it.

1) The stock camera has the following advantages over the AOSP camera:
-- WIDE screen pics (which are nothing more than 8MP pics, CROPPED down to 6MP. You don't GAIN anything, in fact, you LOSE part of the picture. :P Not an advantage in my eyes. :S
--Panaorama assist
--Control of the mic's in camcorder mode.
--Thumbnails are higher quality, more clear (which also takes up more space, and is slightly slower when sliding through them in gallery... which I HATE).

@shoobox- NOTHING in that list makes it superior to me.. let alone far superior :P
It's a preference thing... which is why Android is so great! There are choices!

2) From the dialer, go to menu-> preferences, scroll all the way to the bottom, and try "Enable sensor rotation"
It will let the dialer rotate, and if you press in the number field when in landscape, it will bring up a dialpad at least (I know, it's really not that great.. but it's something.)

If you want landscape dialing on a blurless ROM, currently the only decent solution available is a front-end dialer such as DialerOne, aContacts or others... grab them from the market.

i must say this is the best ROM i have run thus far. I have tried a slew of others and keep returning to this one. My phone runs so smooth and fast with Rubix. Thank you Drod! keep up the awesome work. i look forward to your next release.
