Seidio 2600mAh extended battery

if it fits in their case for the droid, perhaps i will be interested.

if it does not, most likely no.

Hello Jay,

Thank you for your interest in our products! We will be two different kinds of batteries -- Slim Extended that fit in the original battery compartment and offers more power than the OEM one, or Extended that requires a separate battery door (included) that will give you nearly double the capacity.

The Slim Extended will fit our current Innocase, and we are currently developing a Innocase Surface Extended that will fit the Extended Battery.

Please stay tuned or check our site for latest updates!
Will the phone still fit into the docking station? I hope so because using this all day at work I am a slave to my charger cable........but at night I need my dock.

I think it will with the slim extended battery setup will not change anything as far as whether you can dock with your stock docking station.

However the extended will.. but Seidio sells a docking station for use with either.
Looks like this one has a usb travel charger included too.

well, 29 bucks down the tube....... There is some room around the phone when placed in the dock, how sure are you that it won't fit??

yea... off work today.....

Anyway, for what its worth.... I made it to -230% "negative 230%."
I made it to about 20:30 Oclock and if I remember right the mv reading was about 3.57mv or so before it died.

I started charging and after about 15 min, the phone still would not boot up... I had to pull the battery then it did fine.
Upon reboot the batterylife app showed 5%, while the battery left app showed about -7% "interesting if started off in the negative..... a few minutes later it made it back to 5% also.

Anyway... I hope this app turns out to be a winner for accurately depicting the percentages of the extended battery.
I do like the fact that it showed single digit changes rather than in increments of 5.

Well see.

One thing for sure, regardless of how accurate the percentage is shown, the Seidio extended battery definitely has the juice.... I was up to 32 hours or so.... and I really tortured it during the first half of that time.

can you tell us what kind of heavy use you were giving it?

Most of the day I set my background to not go off for 30min once I mess with the phone... then in the eve I ran tv.com and watch shows for about 5 hours... so lots of display time.

But that is not necessarily the best way to "set" the battery left app.... supposed to use it like normal.... not sure why that would make a difference as some us their phones a lot while others use a little... in both cases the app should be accurate.

I've been up and running for around 17 hours.. at -86% for the battery, I need my phone tomorrow so I'm not sure if I should charge it and if that would negatively affect battery left?

Gee.. I don't know... mine went for 32 hours.... sounds like your pulling yours down pretty fast.... I would think it should last tomorrow if you turn off all the extras like wifi, gps and only use it for calls.
You got a car charger?.. if so that could help bail you out......or if you have any computers nearby... just bring your usb cable and be ready to plug in if you go dead........

or are you up and around mobile all the time?

Well.. I have a car charger and I can surely bring the USB, but I'd only be able to be around a computer for a little over an hour tomorrow.. I only used wifi for around 40 minutes today to configure it to the network in my school.. Idk, I just feel really strange if I have my phone on me but it's dead, you know? lol right now I'm on minimum brightness but it's probably being pulled down fast because when it's not in sleep mode it's running at 800 mhz max 125 min but when sleeping it's 250/250 so I'm not sure.

An hour should do it..... its amazing how much juice and hour can put into these batteries.

I'm just guessing but I would think draining to dead would be helpful so it gets calibrated well.

the Dev doesn't mention the need to drain it down but says it improves with time and use.... one person named "figgy" said to be patient and drain the battery... so I don't know"

I personally would just take my cable and see what happens!... watch your voltage... when mine got into the 3.5's is when it died shortly after.. it stays 3.7mv and above till about a hour before its ready to plummet.

Mine's been hovering around 3.8 mV this whole time lol and oh I had an idea for you concerning the blinking red LED.

There's an app on the market called LEDs Hack. It's free and for rooted users and lets you turn off the LED light that keeps blinking because the phone thinks it's at 5% battery. The problem is I'm pretty sure this disables the other LEDs too but it's not a huge problem either way for me just something to consider =]

Thats a good point... lets say this battery left app works and shows 40% left but the phone still thinks there is only 5% left.. I suppose the goofy LED would blink..... yes that would be a nuisance!

On the other hand, its kinda cool knowing you are in "overtime" and going strong as evidenced by the battery left app!

With handcent you can change the color of the LED but I don't know if that would even work or over-ride the low batt LED blinking.

Sounds like a nice addition for the battery left app!

I just emailed the DEV.

If it adds extra size to the phone it sucks, because I doubt it would work with my desk and car docks if it gets bigger, just like those bulky protective cases.

Plus the phone is already big. we don't need it any bigger, lol.
