Seidio 2600mAh extended battery

can you tell us what kind of heavy use you were giving it?

Most of the day I set my background to not go off for 30min once I mess with the phone... then in the eve I ran tv.com and watch shows for about 5 hours... so lots of display time.

But that is not necessarily the best way to "set" the battery left app.... supposed to use it like normal.... not sure why that would make a difference as some us their phones a lot while others use a little... in both cases the app should be accurate.

As a followup, what did you have turned on? GPS? BlueToth? WiFi? Sinchronization? What level of screen brightness? When you turn on your phone do you usually "clean" the memory? or do you just use it "as is"?

mine came off the charger at 11am yesterday and is still holding strong, even with streaming pandora , email updating every 5 mins , and quite a lot of texting and browsing! this thing is great!

I had everything I could turn on on, with the exception of full brightness "forgot"

I got rid of my Task killer so used as is.

After charging all night... battery left says it will take 28.5 hours to deplete.... but its "guessing" based off my usage last time...... I expect even more runtime this time as I'm going to use it like I normally do... and thats with bluetooth on... wifi on only at my house."sometimes I forget and leave it on" gps off.

I expect in about a week it will know my habits and be pretty accurate.
It said after a full charge I should last till 11:50am tomorrow.... right now its been off the charger for about 2.5 hours and I'm at 93% and it thinks I will be dead at 11:44am tomorrow.. but I"ve already had 66% of my battery usage as phone calls this morning.

im gonna let mine die and then recharge with everything off except bluetooth also and see how long it will go......... just hit 24hours!

edit** just died 26 hours and 20 mins of pretty heavy usage. :) much better than my 8-10 hours on my stock battery

I'm currently at 31 ish hours (left charger at 6am yesterday).. -238% on battery left.. Just played 20 mins of homerun battle, and at 3.69 mV going in so based off of your estimates windstrings, I should have around another hour or so.. I'll keep you guys updated as it slowly dwindles down. And Windstrings, did your battery left app give you a 28 ish hour time after one full depletion? I"m not sure I can deal with -238% again, lol. and I'm really liking this LEDs hack app that turns off the red blinking.. I check my phone every ten-fifteen minutes so it's not too much of a problem that there's no LED at all.

ALSO: Based off of battery left's "full battery life : 9 hours and five minutes" I took 338% of 9 hours and five minutes and got around 30.42, so before it dies hopefully I can get an accurate reading on how long a full charge should last..

If you kill the widget you can then get a fresh calculation on your new battery.

As soon as I get this next OTA, I intend to root so I can play :)

yes, after one full depletion and recharge mine showed an expected time to discharge of about 28.5 hours... I immediately used it heavy and that time dropped a bit.. then when I let it rest a while, it actually raised the ETA...

Shortly after recharge I had an ETA till dead of about 11:50am tomorrow.. right now it shows 2:03PM.. so its already added 3 hours based on not using it so heavy.

Funny thing is the icon shows the picture of how far the battery is drained and the "picture or icon" pretty much matches what the droid says and the other battery app I have still running called "batterylife".

As we speak, my old batterylife app says 40% left "as does the droid", but the battery left app says 74%!... Its already working! and shows my having 21hours and 45min left till dead. It estimates my full battery life will be a total of 29hours and 34min of use.

I don't know if I want the DEV to fix the icon so it shows my 74% or whether I like it showing what the droid system thinks. Its kinda cool to see both at the same time and know the contradiction!
Killing the blinking LED will be the first order when I root.

How much control do you have to kill the LED?
Do you have to "kill" it and its dead period no matter what notifications you get till you reactivate it?.... If so and you can't "use" it... It might as well just blink or stay on without intervention.
I don't see the point of monkeying with it if its not gonna mean you can get some intelligence out of what its doing?

Anyway based on what I see so far, I think this is gonna be a cool little app.

If you kill the widget you can then get a fresh calculation on your new battery.

Looks like all you have to do is put your finger on the widget and pick "battery info" and it updates instantly all the stats to real time.

BTW.. my accuracy today shows "moderate"

My battery finally died around 4.. 32 ish hours later lol

My battery left app now says 31 hours left with a moderate accuracy (but it charged really, really fast.. i'm not sure how it could have charged so fast)

I haven't really used it much this time around, so I'll keep you updated,

and yes, you have to kill the LED altogether, but I don't mind since it vibrates in my pocket when something happens anyways, and it's only for when the system thinks it should die. BTW, the system icon seems pretty consistent with the app (90% for system and 96 for app) but then again, I haven't used it much so far.

Good to charge a battery a little longer than just what it takes to reach full with the charge indicator..... its not necessary.. just not sure if it will have the reserve it would have if charged a bit longer.....

again, just do as normal is the key to getting a good reading anyway.

My "battery left" says 61% left with 18:40 hours left to go to die around 4 pm... its added 5 hours from original guestimations. Still "moderate" accuracy.. I don't expect that to change till the next recharge.

My driod system meter only says 30%. I now have a total battery guess of 30hours 39 min. But I'm using it pretty normal now... I'm still expecting longer life than 31 hours before dead as thats what I got yesterday with some heavy use. "on purpose".

Has any one had any luck with the smaller extends battery? Does it still give the wrong reading on the battery indicator?

I don't think those are released yet are they?

As of 7:30 this AM, my droid system hit 15% but the Battery left app shows 56%. The time till dead has been moved back even farther to 4:22 am... wow!.... thats 16 hours more time added than the original 11:50am!
I suppose from sitting all night altered the guess.. I assume that will drop back some today...

But it says my total battery use will be 36 hours!..... if I really have 56% left I tend to believe it.. but we'll see.

Seems this app works a bit like the gas estimator in your car.... if your getting good gas mileage, it estimates you will get XX number of miles on the whole tank.. if you drive more aggressively, it drops.

I assume this app collects data till it finally say "excellent" for its accuracy.
I don't know if it collects past that point.

The Dev emailed my back this morning and said he could change the color of the LED bub didn't know if he could over-ride it to avoid false alarms when the system level drops less than 15%..... mine is blinking right now as we speak.
