@TheOldFart: Just remember seidio is going to come out with a dock that will fit the case. So if you ever want to get a dock (dont know if you do or dont) the in the long run seidio will be the more practical option.
You are absolutely correct and I knew that. I should have added that as an advantage for the Seidio. However, I have no use for the desk dock or the car dock. If I want to use the GPS nav in the car then I will get a generic dock. We tried it a couple of times and my wife just held it and I listened to the voice instructions. I've never had a need for a GPS in our travels. I use Google maps on the Google site for directions for a trip and it sometimes gives me wrong locations or turns at the destination. We went to our local mall this weekend and it placed it on the wrong side of the highway. Not a biggie, as I can see it before I get there. Besides, I knew where it was.
I like both cases, but the design of the combo holster and the case are my preference. They do look a bit military, as opposed to the neater appearance of the Seidio.
Edit: I just thought of something. It seems like the Seidio case is a bit thicker than the Verizon combo case, so the Verizon case might fit into the Seidio dock.
