Seidio Case

It took Seidio 3 business days to ship my Sapphire Blue Case. They might just be low in supply. Right now it is scheduled to arrive this Wed.

Sweet! I should be getting my case and screen guard today. I've been treating my Droid like a newborn in its birthday suit. LOL. Now I can ease up on "over protecting" my phone. Still will handle with care of course.

Ash Gray color?

Can anyone who bought an "Ash Gray" Innocase comment on the color? I liked the dark gray look I saw in the photos on other phone models, but this color on the droid product pages looks quite light. So is the case light gray, or dark gray?

Finally pulled the trigger and got a Seidio case. While I love the finish on it and the thin profile; I do however wonder if it is going to collect 'pocket crud' under the case. The one advantage of the silicone case from VZW was that the camera and up/down buttons were covered.

Speaking of the VSW silicone case, I just exchanged mine for a new one yesterday (tab broke) so I have a brand new one if someone is interested. 12.00 shipped (US)

I dont think it is an issue with impatient people (and why shouldnt someone be impatient if they have already paid for a product?) but is an issue with the shipping\response delay from Seidio at this point. I put in an order last Tuesday (Jan 5th) evening and requested Fed Ex shipping and have still not received any shipping notification. I have already been charged for the items also (which normally doesnt happen until an item ships I thought?) Since that time, I have decided to cancel the order (Friday morning Jan 8th) and requested such through their support site via email (since no one was logged onto their chat software) and have still not heard a single word from them. I am very disappointed in their customer service at this point and it sounds like I am not the only ones having issue with lack of contact\response. I have requested status on my cancellation request but who knows when I will hear something back.......

This single thread inspired me to buy the innocase:icon_ banana:! Unfortunately the case I recieved was defective.:icon_evil: The bottom is absolutely fine, but the top case for the screen would not stay on. 3 of the 4 clips would snap but that one bad clip was all it took to make the entire case irrelevant. Hoping to get a replacement soon, but after hearing some bad stories about people having the same problem with the replacement case, I might just end up returning it. So for all you people buying seidio innocases, buy two just in case one is defective. You can always return the second. For me I'm going to try the body glove for myself and compare the two once I get my seidio replacement. Just a heads up.

The people on the forums represent a small amount of all the people buying the seidio cases. That being said it looks like most of them fall under the Standard Deviation for defective cases. I think you should give it another try tho. maybe there was just a bad batch? They need to hire a Statistics person over there if they dont already have 1 lol

Honestly, I live in HK, and for me to travel to China only takes about 1/2 hour or so.

And you wouldn't believe that how cheap you can pick up a piece of similar case, in China for $1 to $2 USD and those are the ones with better quality. there are cheaper options at around $0.5

This might be why i try to stay clear from plastic constructed cases, if anything China has, they have heaps of plastic factories with a very good copying technique, nothing new you hear.

and at mobile shops, you can just spend a day trying different types to choose a perfect case for yourself, which is almost exactly the same as the Seidio cases.

Which is why i tend to try and stay with leather cases, at least the material used is justifiable for itself, and with some of the bigger brands, their R&D / molding cast of their cases are actually very good.

putting usabiliity as first priority, which is sometimes seen with Seidio cases, shame with the quality control though, just heard too many reports of defects on their innocase range.

Received my case today after ordering last Wed. I got the ash grey, which has a very nice, understated look.

Unfortunately, like a few others have mentioned, there seem to be some quality control issues in the manufacturing of these cases. The back piece of my case arrived with some scuffing and chipping, while the front piece has popped off once already after installing it.

I'm gonna contact Seidio tomorrow to get a replacement sent. It's a nice case with a great texture, but quality control definitely seems to be an issue here. For $30, I don't expect to be getting a damaged case. I guess I'll see how their customer service is at resolving this.

2nd Seidio Case problem

I received a replacement Seidio case in purple as a replacement for a previous one that would not stay on. This was for my daughter's Droid. The replacement would NOT stay on either, in exactly the same fashion: the bottom part of the top piece would not stay on phone: it kept popping off. I like the look and feel of the case but this clearly is not going to work for my daughter's phone. I tried getting the part to stay on for quite a while, and I am pretty sure I am not totally stupid but this thing just will not stay on!

Oh well. I must say that Seidio was very responsive to this problem when I let them know on this forum.
