My experience with Seidio has been nothing less than perfect. I've had 3 holsters and 3 extended batteries from them for various phones, screen protectors, extra stylus pens, and now I just purchased the innocase and holster for the droid. My innocase fits fine, but i'll be monitoring it the next few days to make sure it isn't causing my screen and keyboard to separate (and loosen the slider over time).
I tried the snap-on case for my 6800 previously but didnt like it, mostly because the phone was already big enough and having just come from the 6700 which I used naked, I didn't care for having the snap-on case making my 6800 go back to being the size of the 6700. I returned it to Seidio no problem and got a holster.
For me, the Seidio lock and clip system works the best. I've gone through numerous different cases and holsters with clips and they all pinch me. Seidio seems to lock in just the right places, and I rarely ever get pinched.
Sucks that so far your received products have issues. Perhaps try getting the first 2 problems resolved, before giving up on it? As for your feelings about the leather vs plastic, all I can say is I never understand why people complain about something that is known up front. The Seidio case and holster are plastic, not leather, so to be disappointed they aren't leather is beyond me. It's like the people that negatively rate a market app for not having a functionality that the dev never claimed it should have or for not working on a phone that it is clearly stated the app isn't for. It just doesn't make a lot of sense.
I don't work for Seidio or anything, and hate that I sound like a fanboy, because I'm not. I'm all for people getting the best experience from their purchases. Seidio has from time to had things not fit right, but it always seems that they fix the problems. A dead battery is easily remedied and a battery door that doesn't fit is something that needs to be brought to their attention for a refund.
If I ordered something and was in the camp that got something that didn't work/fit right I woul djust return it. I would swear off the company if the customer service was bad, but not just because I was in that batch of people that received a defective item.
