Seidio Case

My experience with Seidio has been nothing less than perfect. I've had 3 holsters and 3 extended batteries from them for various phones, screen protectors, extra stylus pens, and now I just purchased the innocase and holster for the droid. My innocase fits fine, but i'll be monitoring it the next few days to make sure it isn't causing my screen and keyboard to separate (and loosen the slider over time).

I tried the snap-on case for my 6800 previously but didnt like it, mostly because the phone was already big enough and having just come from the 6700 which I used naked, I didn't care for having the snap-on case making my 6800 go back to being the size of the 6700. I returned it to Seidio no problem and got a holster.

For me, the Seidio lock and clip system works the best. I've gone through numerous different cases and holsters with clips and they all pinch me. Seidio seems to lock in just the right places, and I rarely ever get pinched.

Sucks that so far your received products have issues. Perhaps try getting the first 2 problems resolved, before giving up on it? As for your feelings about the leather vs plastic, all I can say is I never understand why people complain about something that is known up front. The Seidio case and holster are plastic, not leather, so to be disappointed they aren't leather is beyond me. It's like the people that negatively rate a market app for not having a functionality that the dev never claimed it should have or for not working on a phone that it is clearly stated the app isn't for. It just doesn't make a lot of sense.

I don't work for Seidio or anything, and hate that I sound like a fanboy, because I'm not. I'm all for people getting the best experience from their purchases. Seidio has from time to had things not fit right, but it always seems that they fix the problems. A dead battery is easily remedied and a battery door that doesn't fit is something that needs to be brought to their attention for a refund.

If I ordered something and was in the camp that got something that didn't work/fit right I woul djust return it. I would swear off the company if the customer service was bad, but not just because I was in that batch of people that received a defective item.

I do recognize that you aren't complaining about the seidio products not being leather, but more stating it as an aside, so definitely not trying to attack you at all, just kind of using your statement to give my point.

Hey hows it going, i purchased my seidio black innocase back in december for my Droid and it was shipped on dec 16. All was well when i recieved and i loved my case. Its been an awesome case until today hehe. I was pulling it out of my pocket and my Droid slipped out of my hand and hit the floor. It was quite traumatic there for a few seconds, but the phone was saved thanks to this case. However, the 2 tabs that the top part of the case by the power button were broken off on the impact. Does anyone know if seidio will send just the top piece out and if something like this is covered on their warranty? or do i need to buy a new case. For now i've switched back to my bodyglove, but it is THICK.

Just wonderin'

I just recived my black Innocase Surface today. The top dosent fit the tabs by the mic do not hold at all. That is not my only problem with the case I recived there is some type of adhesive on the edges of both pices, look cleanable. The is also an extra hole in the bottom pice by the cutout for the power button and headphone jack. This hole looks like it was drilled in the case it is not coated like the rest of the case and is very rough.

I have emailed the forum stores support address.

Hello,

We have received your PM and needed more information, please check when you have time.

It seems like you have received an older edition because maybe the place of purchase did not have the revised edition at the time of ship. We have solved both the fitment issue and molded the back hole to be a prefect square.

putting aside my dead battery that i received.

today i finally had some time to play with the spring clip / holster that i bought also in the same purchase:

Spring Clip Holster

this one, I thought it would fit nicely with the cut outs at the top so that it's molded to the top rim, but sadly, it just sits there with big gaps in between.

I rate the material used for the case and clip itself though, however i cannot rate the rotating mechanism where it feels like it's going to snap off any minute.

all in all, not exactly pleased with $30 spent, not to mention the dead extended battery and the does not fit battery door.

first purchase, three items, 2 faulty and 1 not pleased.

I dont understand why all the praises for seidio products.

As for me, I think I'm just gonna stay with my PDair pouch for now, much better fit and quality, at least I'm getting some leather instead of plastic.

Hello,

We are sorry about your experience and would like to help. For the Spring Clip Holster, are you experiencing looseness or Droid wobbles in the holster? If so, it is definitely not normal and we would look into it for you.

As for the battery, have you attempted to charge is completely first? Sometimes the battery would have little or no charge when it arrives.

If you are still having issues, please PM us your order information and we would be more than happy to help you out!

Regards,

I just bought one and am literally having the exact same problem of the tabs by the mic not holding at all

Hello,

Thank you for your comments and we are sorry about your experience. We have identified the issue and have already corrected them. All the cases that we are shipping now (As 2/16) are the new version and shouldn't have any issues.

If you have a fitment issue from before, rest assured that we will be more than happy to take care of it for you. Please PM us your order information and we can see what we can do!

Hey thanks again for all the updates, it is really appreciated. I am receiving my Innocase on Monday, and wanted to know how I could tell if it was the new revised design or the old design? Are there any discernible markings to differentiate between the two?

Thanks!

Got my 2 cases, my holster and my dock.

All fit perfectly! So in my case it looks like they have the Quality issues under control.

I am now ordering the car dock since it will work with the cases. (I got 2 different colors, so I use one as the faceplate and the other as the back, nice two-tone effect, blue and gold).

Good Job. :)

Looking forward to your slim form factor extended battery.

1 month later my case is still in tip-top shape still fits just perfectly couldn't be happier. I've even got some people asking me if they made the Droid in different colors! They didn't even realize it was a case! That's how subtle it is.

Is there a comparison or a review or anything for the Seidio case versus the Verizon silicon case?

I have the Verizon case but the top tab broke so the top part no longer stays on. It's been over a month since I bought the case so I don't know if Verizon is willing to replace it. If not, then i don't know whether I should get a Seidio or another verizon one.

If I'm not mistaken, I coulda swore I seen another thread where someone was complaining that the top of their Seidio came off! lol I'm almost positive it was a Seidio case too....

There is a thread somewhere too where they compare cases I think...and discuss what ones are good and what not...
I tried to find a comparison, but all I found is a thread with people who had just one type of case and wrote whether they like it or not.

Would someone mind pointing me to a comparison please?

Pm sent, thanks for looking into it.

I couldn’t agree more. As with any product you will always have a bad batch here or there. It’s what the company dose to resolve the issue and so far it’s A+. seidioseidio has been more responsive then the vendor I bought the product through.

Sorry I can only partially agree to what you just said.

surely I can read, and when you pay $30 for a piece of plastic and you pay the same price for leather, this is when you would expect the plastic would give you an edge on other aspects that the leather cannot provide you, e.g. build quality / design / mold etc...

pls do not bend my words in any shape or form, never mentioned about it being plastic and expecting leather. so please read carefully before you make such claims.

So tell me one thing, when it's my first purchase, all three items has it's own flaws in its own ways, how am I suppose to give this company my 100% trust?

I purchased the item paid full price giving them the benefit of the doubts on 10th Feb, item arrived 17th, for 7 days of waiting and anticipation, would you not be expecting to receive an item that is well, at least functional, and at such prices, to be rather nice?

why bother with customer services?? when such costs can be put into R&D of the items, get it right the first time, will cut them costs on customer servicing, and also will have them hell of a lot more happy shoppers.

who likes to buy something and knowingly have to send the item to and fro couple times before things are corrected?

I surely don't.

Got my innocase and spring clip holster tonight. Love it!

The case fits wonderfully, the spring clip case holds the phone wonderfully in place on my belt. The price was a bit steep at 55 for both plus shipping, but I find now that I have it that I got what I paid for, and that is a great product and great customer service so far.

When I first placed my order on a Wednesday night, I got an email back within 24 hours saying it was backordered. I sent an email to them asking how long, they said 2-3 days, recieved my email confirming it was shipped on Monday, and got it Friday.

I know its not a good written review, but i'd give em 5 stars.

P.S. this was my first time purchasing anything from an internet company, only did it after a friend bugged me about how sweet his case from these guys were. I would buy from them again and again. :icon_ banana::icon_ banana::icon_ banana::icon_ banana::icon_ banana:

What am I taking is your comment "at least I'm getting some leather instead of plastic" and just stating the obvious: it was plastic when you decided to buy it and it's still plastic now. If it had arrived in a condition satisfactory to you, wouldn't it still be plastic? I'm just sayin...

I can agree you hope your items would be received functional and nice, and that is regardless of price. I would be disappointed too. But just from your post, it sounds like you have resigned to "I got some crap and that's it" when in reality you have options to attempt to remedy the issues. No, you shouldn't have to, but as I say all too much, it is what it is. I think it is important to give the company a chance to remedy the situation.

So tell me one thing, when it's my first purchase, all three items has it's own flaws in its own ways, how am I suppose to give this company my 100% trust?
100% trust is a stretch to me. I personally would start with just giving them a chance to fix the problem. It sounds like you spent around $100 for your items, not a piddly amount by any means and totally worth your time to get a satisfactory product or a refund.

I'm not saying you shouldn't be annoyed that your experience so far has been less than stellar. But this is an 80 page long thread and there are others just like it regarding other Seidio products here and on other forums with mostly positive comments. I would say your experience is not the norm and its worth it to try and get it taken care of if you haven't attempted to do so already.

Coincidentally, I assume your holster is the one to fit the extended battery, since you bought them in the same purchase. Also, considering your battery is dead, I'm guessing you aren't using it. If all such assumptions are correct, could the fit of your holster be dissatisfactory because it is indeed not meant to be used with a Droid with a regular size battery?
