Seidio Case

I will most likely be hanging around for a while longer before a truly perfected model is created and released by seidio, im sure it's a nice case, just that currently, it's not my cup of tea to go through the whole process of returning and waiting for a new one to arrive, then repeat for now.

they do look good, so pls dun get me wrong, just that i want to receive a piece of purchase to be perfect the first time round.

mean while i will hold on to my alu case, pretty cool protection:

I guess I got really lucky and got a good one from the start. I have absolutely no problems with mine, it's nice and snug.

also if replacement cases fit, but the original didn't then that suggests (to me at least) that it was the case that change and not the phone. or am i missing something?

What I'm saying is that both tops would work on one Droid, but not on the other Droid. Obviously there is a minor difference between the Droids.

I understand what you're saying. I'm saying that for some people the replacment cases fit fine, which means its the cases that changed and not the phone. One guy even pointed out that the clips on the top piece for his replacement are different compared to his first case.

Either way, the point is to not point fingers right? No product is perfect.

I got my daughter a seidio purple case. The original top did not fit, nor did the first replacement. They just sent a new replacement and this fits perfectly. Nice case! Thanks seidio for making it right.

I'm on my second case. Originally ordered the sapphire but it wouldn't snap on the front, could only get 3 corners snapped on and once I turned getting the last one, it would just pop off. Ended up giving that one to the boyfriend. Ordered the amethyst case and same ordeal. Both cases fit my boyfriend's droid no problem but I can't, for the life of me, get the front on. I love the color of the amethyst but am completely bummed because its another case I can't use.

I know it sucks but just hang in there and they will eventually get you one that fits your front. I just got a front case that snapped on my droid 2 days ago. Before that the one they sent me wouldnt snap on the bottom. Message the seidio guy in this thread and he will help you out.

It seems that their customer service is VERY backed up... My case creaked and then fell apart after about 4 weeks... Two attempts to get an RMA/replacement resulted in an email asking if I wanted a refund... I indicated I'd just like a replacement case, but no response yet. I'll try their online chat on Monday...for now, though, my phone is "naked", and I sort of like it that way...

Just looked at mine that is a replacement for a top that would not fit, and it does slightly still make a mark on the droid by the verizon logo. I didnt even know it was there until I read your post and looked at my phone. It is really slight though and I don't plan on ever using the phone without the case on so I think it will be ok. The clips at the bottom of the top case touch the keyboard so when you open and close they rub against the keyboard. I don't really notice any friction when I'm opening and closing the phone though.

This is my first post on the forum, so HELLO everyone The threads are great and I appreciate everyone giving so much information.
I just bought the Droid, and I LOVE IT. But I have been trying to find a case for it and have been unsuccessful. I spent hours reading recommendations, and bought the Seidio Innocase. And guess what? Back was too loose and front didn't even go on. I have read all the stories about how they send more and more out, but I don't want to waste all that time. It's unlike me as it is to have it out of a case. Any suggestions? Give them another (time-hogging) shot or are there any other similar cases someone can recommend. Thanks

The new top cases are not nearly as snug as the old ones. I had a phone where the top case would not fit. Well that one got exchanged at VZW and the new droid they gave me, the old case fit perfect, but they had already sent me the new top case replacements. The new top case came in, and the tabs on the bottom are longer so they snap into place better, only problem is you can now physically slide the top of the case back and forth, and the plastic on the case is not nearly as stiff (you can pull the sides of the plastic out by barely pressing on them) . I put the old one back on and its way more snug and doesnt slide whats so ever, the plastic also seems to be a higher quality or it just fits on so much snugger so it wont flex.. Only positve to the new top case is it will fit the phones where the old ones sometimes would not, and you can take it off a lot easier since the plastic is a lot more flexible. I may or may not get a hold of seidio since the old first gen top case is fine
