Yes you can. The only problem I've run into so far is Android Overclock doesn't work but I'm sure it will be updated shortly. Haven't had lots of time to play with it but it seems great so far.

This is some seriously sweet news! I know I'm way late, but this is still awesome! Jumping right into the OTA and returning to CM7. Has anyone seen any bugs so far?
Flash the OTA GB over stock Froyo (sbf back).
Link to OTA GB update file - you can rename to update.zip and put on the root of your SD card and use stock recovery in Froyo to flash.

Only bugs I came across was trying to flash a font pack from ROM Toolbox. Weird error in cwr, some kind of zip file mismatch or old coding that had to be removed for gb compatibility.

Ooo boy...what the hell did I just walk out of here...lol I've never had a problem like these I had making my way to ota..and rooting..it was all easy of course..but that direction had me baffled..the phone wasn't working in charge only mode...eventually I took my own direction..and put in pcmode and bam it ran! That little kid in the vid stated usb. To charge only and I believe it worked for him, but I had to get in pc mode..idk maybe I misunderstood...but I would love for someone else to tell me he didn't say to stay in or change to charge only..it never made since while I was *****in at the computer...lol I was worried if I did another or my own way I wanted, I might brick..but nope I was right thank god..I was tired of sitting and playing with drivers..I knew they worked because the sbf went as always without a hitch...but the flashable sbf..gave me error 7...anyway..getting ready to flash latest cmgb...anyone know if the latest is up now and running, 31? Or?

Currently my wife's D2 is running the latest unofficial CM7 build on top of an older TBH rooted GB leak. Her keyboard backlight is not working 
Can anyone confirm that their keyboard backlight is working on this official build over the GB OTA?
What are you guys rooting the OTA with?
I'm a CM74GB-DX user myself so some things with the D2 are confusing!
