[ROM] The CM7 Gingerbread ROM (CM4D2-GB) is now ready for prime time!

for some reason my phone does not like cm7-gb... ive sbf'd twice now and installed gb kernel in cwr, then booted up then went back and installed cm7-gb but i get random freezes and permanent sleep mode where i have to pull the battery. ive done all the necessary wipes/data, dont know where im going wrong. currently running a stock d2 until i figure out what im doing wrong

Sounds like you're doing it right. You wiped data and didn't try to restore any apps/data via backup programs?

Did you try running Fix Permissions in ROM Manager?

After booting up in to CM4D2-GB, have you tried going back into CWR and wiping data/factory reset, wiping dalvik, and booting up again?

Thanks! Im on GB cm7 i didnt want to flash the wrong one!

Only use Rev's unofficial nightlies for now, until he lets us know that the official GB nightlies are available for us.

(And even when official nightlies are available, Rev's unofficial are still my preferred, as he adds in enhancements before they are available in the official nightlies.)

Rev's unofficial are at: CM4D2 unnoficial nightly links

Agreed!
It sucks that some people are having issues. I've had only one blackout and used alt+shift+delete on the keyboard to reboot, but otherwise everything is running great (build 8/28).

yes ive done all that, the first time i used titanium backup to restore my apps then the next time i let the market reinstall them. it was running fine for a half a day then i wanted my camera to work so i fixed permissions in rom manager and then it seemed to go down hill from there.

I used tb to restore my apps (not data). Should I not have done that? It doesn't seem to be causing any problems...

Can someone please tell me where I can get the fm radio apk? Can this be installed with cm7? I miss having a radio.

do you have to wipe data and cache when installing the mods zip? Do these mods need to be flashed every time you update with the nightlies or is it a one time thing?

How do I get my phone to pc mode when connecting to my pc? I don't see any option to select it.

No need to wipe at all. Just install the zip. As far as updating to a new nightly, I would flash they mod each time. Not absolutely sure if it's necessary, but I wipe cache and dalvik between nightlies. That being said, to be safe, I flash the mod again

Ok, so I just flashed the rooted gb leak and I am trying to flash the cm7 gb but I can't get into recovery... neither rom manager nor manual recovery methods are working! Am I missing something stupid?

He's right on..gb leak doesn't play well with rom manager...once on cm7 you'll be able to use rom manager..remember DO NOT USE BOOTSTRAPPER ON CM7!! :-)

Gotta use d2 bootstrapper to get back into clockwork.

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately I don't have a credit card to pay the 2.99 to get it from the market. Is there an alternate source for a bootstrapper?
