The Legend of Zelda (fans)

Yeah pretty neat, isn't it? :3 That's probably one of my favorite things about Wii is it's compatibility with Gamecube games and the ability to play older games. Although it -kinda- sucks sometimes paying for them since it is possible to play them on emus on your PC. Except the Gamecube games, those really lag for me. Then again my laptop's not all the great, either. x.x

Yeah, I've played free emulators and those are all well and good but there's just something about sitting on the couch in front of the tube with a real controller... and knowing it won't crash. Savestates sure are nice though - I swear to God, SNES games are harder than the new stuff.

LMFAO. You are so right on the money about them being hard. The funny thing is I find SNES and NES games at LEAST 10x harder than the newest games such as MW2, Halo Reach, BioShock 2, etc. Some parts were hard in those games, in older games like Mario, all the levels past the first two or second worlds are INSANE. That's what my girlfriend's sister says and I just do not understand it at all. Take Earthbound for example. I wanted to play Earthbound and it is at least 100 for even just a cartridge on Ebay (we do have a SNES). But I played the entire game for free on a SNES emu. What does not make sense to me is no matter what screen it's on, PC or TV, whether you play it with a keyboard, a controller, or even a stick (whu lol) it does not matter whether you play it on an actual old system or PC, you are playing the actual true game and getting to experience it. And you shouldn't have a problem with emus crashing, not if you have the good ones. I've never once had an emu crash. ;) Actually you can use PS3 and 360 controllers on PC. I actually played most of Earthbound with my 360 controller.

Oh man, Ocarina of Time is perfect game. Zelda games always come out well, but that one was perfect. I spent such a long time trying to figure out the water temple.

Yeah, hope the 3DS remake is just as good. Did anyone else play The Legend Of Zelda Link's Awakening for Gameboy/Gameboy Color? That was one of my favorites. :)

So I now have classic SNES Selfsame on the Wii, multiple GBA and GBC roms on my dinc, and I'm totally re-addicted to the Legend of Zelda series... and its all because of this thread! Hahaha glad you started this one.

Yes sir! Never finished it, but I'm looking to rectify this on my phone. :)

My favorite zelda game has been OoT by far, but sadly my N64 broke. Luckily though, I was able to get it for the wii, and wow its just been so long that I actually play a game this hard, that I can't pass the fire temple!

DroidForums junkie!

My favorite was OoT. As a kid it scared that crap out of me and never fully played it. I just watched others play my file haha. My freshman year of high school I picked it back up and beat the entire thing all over again.

I just love the nostalgic feeling you get. I believe I have Oracles for GB. It's the blue one. I'm stuck in Zora's Domain and have been for 4 or so years. That was before I discovered walk throughs on the internet. I may have to pick it up again.

it's awesome cause they are so fun!

And I'm playing Links Awakening still, just beat 6th dungeon haha great game!
And I'm playing all my zelda games on my droid haha it's great. I wish I didn't lose my Gamegripper though =[
It's easy to control though still!

And it's so much better to go through these games without walkthroughs, especially if you're stuck in a dungeon and you really buckle down and go through everything logically until you figure out the problem and beat it all on your own (:

You have Oracle of Ages, fun game! It's more of a puzzle game and Oracle of Seasons if more action, but I think most people like Ages better, t's a great concept with the time traveling to solve puzzles and do things (:
I'd definitely give it a try!
