Does anyone think they will come out with a Droid 4 Maxx because I would prefer that phone?

Yeah.. this is going to be like the longest week ever! Finally ditching the Droid Eris and getting a respectable phone. I chose to get the Eris rather than the D1... and have been regretting it ever since.

I truly thought there was going to be an announcement from the " Big Red" today about releasing the Droid 4 on Thursday. I thought wrong.

From what I have been hearing is that, in general, Verizon only announces the day before that the phone is going on sale.

So we should hear something on Wednesday. Anyone else googling "Droid 4" every free moment, too? lol

I don't Think they will.

Because 1 Moto said they were going to slow releases. So even if they thought about it they won't. 2 and the crying from D3 users about the too soon release (hence the delay).of the D4 and the Razr users cries about the razr maxx. They're probably sick of criers. So nope.

Also...what 'news' should Droid Life be reporting on about the D4? All the specs have been confirmed, as well as the recent price. There's nothing left to report on...just twiddle your thumbs and wait on an announcement for a release date, or for it to hit Verizon's website

Kinda having doubts of getting the D4 now....... Im sick of googling Droid 4 and checking these forums and Droid-life every day for the release date. Remember the rumored december release date we were all looking forward to? LOL

Major phones. Have always been delayed.
You think you won't do that about the next rumored phone?

When you are really ready to get a phone, make suree it the one you really want for 2 years or until you can afford a new one. Then you'll be happy and not worry about the next big thing.

And you can change your mind. The Note is coming to AT&T abd maybe Verizon. That's really the next BIG thing.

My point exactly...the release date is all that hasn't been confirmed. I believe it was last week or the week before that Motorola said the phone wouldn't be global right away, but they will be able to unlock global capabilities later, so...no news there. Also...the 'D4 Maxx' as you speculate would be an entirely different phone and NOT fall under the 'D4' news category. Heck, even the D4 manual is online for anyone to read page by page. So no...there isn't anything at all that's unknown about the Droid 4 outside of the release date.

dont get me wrong i like droid life alot... i was just pointing out the weeks leading up to the gnex there was 4 articles a day regarding everything from the way the phone smells to the latest rumors in when IT WILL BE RELEASED. there was like a leaked email every other day granted they were all wrong but one lol. I was really joking about all the gnex love lol. I would twiddle my thumbs but they hurt from rubbing together so much waiting lol...

Yea...I used to be pumped about the D4 as my upgrade, but after all this waiting and all the rumors and the worry of it being replaced in a month...I believe I'll hold off for awhile now

yeah i am starting to feel the same way.... but honestly i say that and i will still get it...i have no other choices really that i can see. i def wont be getting the stratosphere, and there is no other slider on the market for big red and i am def not leaving big red. i drive in the boonies alot and the only one to get reception consistently is big red
