I wonder if it's because people know that it's similar in specs tot he Razr and they've realized it's not worth it for $249.

How much hype do you expect for a $200 phone with old tech?
The price drops do mean that there really is newer tech and more hype ready and waiting in the wings...

Members were saying the exact same thing 3 days before the Bionic came out.... and 3 days after the Rezound came out... and 2 days before the Nexus came out. Verizon seems to not like to hype anything coming out, most likely to squeeze every possible sale and restocking fee they can out of their devices.

This stinking thing better be out before my wife is ready to upgrade in March. Im not ready up til October. It will be interesting to see whats out in the fall/holiday season. Im sure there will be quad core CPUs, but I really cant think of a reason to have a phone that powerful. I dont do serious gaming on my phone.

If it's out and your ready for a new phone and want one with a keyboard, this is the one to get. Well really only one you can get, the Stratosphere probably will be gone and it looks like a joke.
But if you can wait, you might find a physical keyboard phone out later this year. I really doubt they'll release a D5 as soon as they will the D4 after the D3. Simply because the D4 is basically what the D3 should have been but they weren't quite ready and wanted another Droid on the market (D2's were getting old, old tech and the Razr wasn't going to be out yet).

There will be some time before another wave of phones come through. Motorola has already said after the D4 and razrmaxx there will be a gap of time to create and focus on less multiple devices and more on a true flagship..they have finally decided to do what we have all been asking which is concentrate on one device or two. Not several with the same specs etc. This was from the top guy in Motorola I forget his name..Jha or something..lol but it sounds good to me. About time....

As long as they make a phone with a keyboard and put high end hardware inside, I dont care how long it takes. I cant afford to change phones constantly, so Im tied down for 18-24 months anyway.

I can't afford phones all the time, that's why I still have a D1. I would have changed sooner... maybe... I really like my D1 though, but it's getting old and I need something better. I have a "loyality discount" that verizon has given me and they've texted and e-mailed me about new phones

I was upgraded six months early. They gave me 149.00 off contract price. So I couldn't refuse the Razr. Not for 149. When they were 300...that's what made my mind. It was an unheard of 4g upgrade special that eventually caused a storm at Verizon.
