The Official DF Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release Thread

Just six for the HTC Edge quad core Tehran 3. April release.

Yeah, I saw that. Its too far off for me right now... I can't wrap my head around December 2011, much less April 2012. Pretty crazy stuff. I really hope Verizon doesn't screw up their (my) first Nexus device.

Because I was bored, I just tried to call the 3 local stores and see what info they would give me:

Store 1: "Let me ask my manager........... Sir? Yes... My manager says that it was supposed to come out the 17th but Samsung just pushed the date back so we don't have a date right now."

Store 2: "All I can say is that it will be next month."

Store 3: "I do know that it is coming within the next couple of weeks, but I do not have an exact date on it."

Well, that was fun.

REVIEW: Samsung Galaxy Nexus off to a winning start | The News Journal | delawareonline.com

Specifically : Inside is a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, plus 16GB of internal memory (double that on the LTE version).

Now I'm happier.

If the author was just getting that info from the other reports that it would have a 32 GB internal memory, that doesn't say much. Unless he tells us that Google/Samsung/Verizon have confirmed that the LTE will be 32 GB, we're justified in being upset about the change to the Google page.

But you are right, we don't know. Perhaps someone at Google made an error and changed a page they shouldn't have.

I have been saving for quite a while now.. it seems the longer VZW waits the more I have in my pocket lol. See that VZW? It's waiting for you to release your Nexus.. contingent on you not mucking up the device in any way.. :icon_eek:

Let's face it guys ..you're gonna have to pay 300 dollars for a device with 16 gb storage.. that's not winning... that's fail :(...nexus looking less n less enticing... bionic with patch out within a week? Win.

Vzw is gonna squander another opportunity. They are very poor sales people. You release a device at the peek of its hype to get max purchases. Vzw waits and about time it gets released people lose steam because they either hear of another device on the horizon, they get tired of waiting, or flaws about the device scare people off. Now as far ad the DL article ima hold off comment because it has been rumor city there. One day you see a picture with 32 gig next day talks of 16. People are running stories to be the first to get the scoop whether it be legit or not. Not saying that is what dl is doing but I am going to hold off on stressing until I see multiple sources confirm the details. As of right now Ill continue to fire up the laptop every day and wait for the official release date.

i just find it amazing what has happened to this launch.

1 the announcement was delayed (not their fault)
2. in the announcement, they did not give many stats, and they gave a release date of november
3. leaks were found, leaks had different dates on them. some even went and still go into december
4. duarte says it can be purchased in november, yet december releases are still leaked
5. google released the worst advertisement video, changed there specs on their website.
6. still yet to have a price or release date, even though its more then halfway into november.
7. phone was released in the uk...
8. the other phones announced at the saem time were already released...

it really is just ridiculous

I would so not survive with a 16gig version. My sd is basically full. My internal is about half full. On top of that, I have been using Gmusic for my 20gigs of music since the beta was released. I would die with only 16gigs especially if it still cost 300 bucks.
C'mon Verizon, release a date! :D

16gb would suck, but it's not a deal breaker, for me personally. Everyone uses their phones differently. After two years the 16gb card on my OG is barely half full. With all my music in the cloud, I'll have plenty of space. I'm not one to put movies on my phone, so I don't think I'll ever fill up the 16gb.
