Sorry if this is a little off topic...but since you guys are talking about apps and such..

I haven't gotten my Android device yet, is there a way that I can go online via a PC, create an account in the marketplace and download the apps that you're talking about and then push to my phone later?

This matches with what my verizon store said. The guys said later next week, but not Friday.

I live in NC and have a few authorized retailers and a corp store near me. I accidentally called one of the auth retailers first and the acted like they had no idea. Then I called the corp store and the guy was somewhat candid with me he confirmed that the Dec 9 date had been pushed back and said he had no idea why. He then went on to say he didn't understand why it kept getting pushed back but his guess was some kind of software update. He also said they got the shipments in over 2 weeks ago and they've just been sitting there.

I've seen with my own eyes an e-mail that came out just recently today from VZW corporate (in the last 2 hours) that says the Nexus is coming out the 15th. This was on a corporate VZW email account.

So, that's the next date they're giving internally. Not saying it will not end up being delayed again (please, god, no, don't let that happen...), but that's the best we are gonna get for now, until an announcement is made. This is as solid as the 9th was before the sudden delay, in that the date is now in a few different official communication channels that can be accessed by some corporate employees.

We also have the green light (in our store anyway) to buy accessories for the Nexus as employees with our 35% discount, and we are allowed to take the Nexus floor model home with us at night (we have to share). I got the black/black Incipio case and extended battery today. Woot
