The Official DF Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release Thread

My D1 was working fairly well when I upgraded to the D3 this summer. Having said that I'd imagine the vast majority of folks here got there's on or close to launch day. I had to wait until February for mine so it was a few months younger.

To release some tension I am going to get ready and go to the Y and workout for a while. Then I'm going to self destruct and go to my Mom's and stuff myself with mint frosted Christmas sugar cookies.

Then I'm going to come back and see what is going on with the Nexus and either have a good evening or maybe have to go eat some more cookies.

No matter what happens I am going to eat me some cookies...

You know, I keep hearing everyone saying their Droid is dead. Mine is scuffed up a bit, and the power button doesn't press down as well as it used to (but still works), but the device itself it working just as well as it always has. I'm giving it to my Dad when I get my GN. I guess I just lucked out on my Droid.

No, just means the tin foil hat for your droid is as good as the one on my head and "the man's" signals aren't getting in and making it act all screwy....

Which makes it seem less like them taking initiative and trying to make a point of anything and more like "Stop bugging us, AndroidandMe, and go clean your room before Supper!" kind of canned response which makes the message seem about as important as the chat response of "We don't know anything, go here and sign up for the e-mail" that the rest of us get.

Exactly. Peopke are referring to it as an "official" press release. But its really nothing. It just means, regardless of being a day before or day of, that they will give a statement when its available.

It's the list of the people who run the Off-topic GN thread.

And also the list of people waiting for a preorder for prowler's GN2, after he sells a unicorn for MILLIONS (not trillions, but MILLIONS), to acquire Verizon and Samsung.

Either that or it's the list of people donating $5,000 to him. He never really made himself clear on that one.

I'm not very familiar with Androidandme, but it is really odd that no other major tech sites have received or acknowleged receipt of an email. I checked Engadget, BGR, Techcrunch, Androicentral while both Phandroid and DroidLife refer back to Androidandme. Weird.

The way their article was worded it seemed like they were saying that they personally had received a statement from Verizon which I find incredibly hard to believe. I'm not familiar enough with them to call them liars but it seems more than a bit fishy. There are way bigger sites who Verizon would respond to first if they were going to respond to anyone.

But, then I had an anxiety attack and was convinced that my initial logical thought was bull and that we would never see this phone.

Make all the threats to Verizon you want, this is their fiasco. Don't get on us at UPS. We are year round Santa's helpers and remember everything.
