Looks like this could be caused by 2G network radio interference. Might not be a problem for our version...

On a serious note now. I was called back by VZW about my early upgrade to the Rezound. I delayed the Rezound purchase until Dec 1st just to be sure I would be able to return it if I wish for the GNex. Hopefully Big Red will announce a date before then so I don't have to delay the purchase again. Then again maybe Moto will push the Bionic update and make us Bionic owners happy for Turkey Day.

I don't think we should be surprised that Samsung are having Radio related issues, when they write the contents of the box this ships with, they should include Radio Bugs!

SGSII seems to work just fine with their radios, was the biggest selling android phone of the year and it was just released to US markets a few months ago.

True, But Facinate, Charge, and a couple of more had Radio issues. Some of the testers are saying this is a radio related bug, might be hardware not software issue.

I think it's highly possible it's a radio problem, my point is, they've made devices recently with fine radios. Do you say the same about Motorola since their last 3 phones have had connectivity issues?

hmm i wonder if the nfc chip is some how interfering with the radios. The nexus was released in uk on the 17th. I would rather wait until dec 17th and they ensure all hdwr issues are fixed. Ignore the hype and just get it right.

Since this is a Nexus thread i was talking about Samsung but lately moto has hardware issues as well, My OG never had any issues but the RAZR i'm on now does have the occasional 4g drop. Lots of reports indicated the same about the Bionic as well so i guess that could be said about moto as well. It just seem like Samsung are struggling with this device for one reason or another and if it is a hardware issue that has to have physical repairs we might not see this phone for a long time...

There was just an announcement that most manufacturers will be putting the nfc on the sim chip so I doubt it can interfere.

hey boss. it aint gonna work we tried to slip in the 16gb model as you asked. but they spotted it before release and now people are fuming.
ah ok put back up the 32gig well just delay it another month until they beg for the 16gb version.
