★★★ The "Official" I got my DROID BIONIC Thread ★★★

So I just got the thunderbolt four days and am still able to get the bionic for ten more day. I haven't had a chance to check it out yet but hopefully I can get in today. Do you guys think I should switch to the bionic? I guess i am just worried about getting a phone that has just been released. Thanks.

Got mine yesterday. Overall, very happy. Already have it wrapped in an Otter Box. Not seeing the issue with the screen others seem to have. Compared to iPhone4 (Wife's), screen quality is at the very least on par. Picture quality could be better though from an 8MP camera.

Hey guys picked up my Bionic Thursday, and i need help transferring my drag racing data over to Bionic. Help would be appreciated

Had mine 3 days now. Came from rooted, overclocked OG Droid with Gingerbread. What a difference!! Very smooth and fast while moving between apps, taking and sharing pictures and watching videos. Very happy so far. Screen looks great to me. Plastic back doesn't bother me. Getting used to rearranged hard buttons already. Most of my apps DID NOT automatically download for some reason, even after I swapped in my old SD card, but it didn't take me long to do it the hard way, about 10 seconds per app. 4G is faster than my 7Mb wireless. Already have all my ringtones and notification sounds assigned again. I can't believe how much better this phone works than the old one. I don't feel the need to root. Yet. Ignoring the bloatware. Still haven't made a phone call though.

Thanks to all who posted about this so I could be happy pulling the trigger!

Got mine Friday afternoon but I've been so busy that I haven't had a change to activate it until this afternoon. Having some issues with SIM Card recognition and Verizon. They said to call back after an hour or so to see if it went through, I'm about to do that now. Sucks because I'm heading out for the night and my phone number is in limbo, can't use my old one and can't use my Bionic yet.

Tried both with verizon on the line. I believe it is an issue with network extender

I've got to say, it's pretty amazing. Lots of people getting their Bionic. Not a lot of complaints. Sure, one or two people whining about the screen (still don't get that) but, other than that, doesn't seem to be anything major wrong with the phone. Could this phone actually live up to all of the hype which was out before its release???

theres several little bugs, but they'll get addressed in the first patch that we should see in a month or two

Agreed. If they can fix the camera shutter speed and the headphones whine I will be 100% happy. Right now I'm about 98% happy since those two quirks aren't annoying enough to be deal-breakers. I'm on my 3rd day with the phone and I've only fully discharged it twice (For the first few days I never plug it in unless it's totally dead and let it fully recharge to condition the battery and calibrate it). So I'm getting awesome battery life, never seen a force close, and it's just solid - super-fast and I can't stop grinning while I play with it. I came from a rooted/ROMd/OC'd D1 and at this point I don't see any reason to root it except for the handfull of bloatware apps. I LOVE THIS PHONE!

Bloatware isnt an issue IMO considering we have 1GB of RAM - I've never seen it even come close to being down to 300MB available let alone any fear of running out like it was on my OG and DX

I got my phone today, few things getting use to after upgrading from OG dried is the button placements. I love the phone so far but I'm afraid after spending a good chunk of the day getting things set like I wanted them , I'm going to have to return the phone. The lower left corner is not sealed meaning that there is light bleed under the magnifying glass search button. You can push the corner down but within a few seconds the corner lifts up and you can see the light bleed again. You can't see this flaw during the day, I urge everyone to look at your phone in the dark to see if you observe the same.

Finally got mine Friday afternoon, just web ordered it from Verizon. It took me a couple of hours on Sat to get most of my apps back and cust how I had my original Droid. So far AWSOME, I just need to root today and all will be well. Bye bye bloatware!
