The Ultimate Droid 1.0.0 - Droid 1 Only

I flashed this late last night/early this morning and I haven't found any bugs yet. This rom is awesome. Great work Blackdroid.

I just converted to UD yesterday by installing 8.0 and am loving it so far. I've read some iffy stuff so far about this. I don't wanna mess up a good thing! I might wait to download it until all the bugs are kinked out.

Didn't work. I am going to say it is the first thing you mentioned. I have a spare droid here (cracked screen) and I can install the UD stock applications, on the phone that I am having a problem with, I am freezing into the quick reboot. Ugh. Are there any other kernels that are known to play nice with UD?

I usually use chevy kernels because my phone usually hates slayher kernels, but the stock slayher kernel is working fine for me now. Im fixing to try some different slayher kernels to see if they will work fine.

Thanks for the input, tried a P3 that I have had success with in the past and it too was no good with UD, then tried the Chevy kernel I was previously using annnnnnnnd no good. :( This is really weird.

I have spent the better part of the morning trying different kernels from Slayher to P3 to Chevy..back and forth. I would either get reboots, stuck boots or wifi issues.

It now seems Chevy LV 1.0 kernel is the one best for me and working. No reboots and wifi connects w/o hesitation, stalling, etc.

Thanks for the input, I will try that kernel.

Bc the rom has been rebuilt kernels are gonna be different. Hearing best about slayers. Chevys ran great for me also. Haven't tried slayer, gonna later. Stock kernel has been flawless thus far for me.

Also, swiping away notifications works for me. Need to swipe left to right or vis versa. But needs to be on notification. Saw this asked about in earlier post.

I am running Chevy's 1.1ghz ulv kernel and battery life seems normal for me even with heavy use. Temps stay cool. Notification swipe works perfect on my end as well. So far really impressed. Great work guys!

sent from the great depths of my phones internet (thanks Al Gore)

no i do not have compcache checked.....and i went on and flashed my other kernel i like which is chevys ulv1.2 kernel and ill post to give results on battery life as well...if this doesnt hold, im going to slayhers 1.2 kernel

Sorry, I was asking RafficaX :D

no i do not. compcache to me isnt worth it. bw pros and cons, i feel it fails to help to were it is worth it. may try it in the future but have not seen any reason to yet.

i feel like this is ud8 with launcherpro. im gonna try o run this for a day but idk if i really like it. first the lock screen, i hope you guys have big plans for that becaause idk why it needs to be all the way at the bottom. second, why launcherpro? i see alot of roms doing that but i love the stock look.

all in all this is a great rom and i cant wait for updates to see whats in store for this rom.

and you would be 100% incorrect. this is 2.2.1, not 2.2. it is based off the newest n1 update that just came out, frg83.

also has more options built in and more features. so just based upon the build number its completely different that 8.0.

i said i feel like its ud8. i know its frg83. just it doesnt seem that different from ud8. i almost feel like ud8 ran better than this. idk just my opinion. ill wait and make another argument once i pop slayhers kernal on.

once you get into it more and play with it you will see a major difference. one big thing is different kernels now, old ones may not work so well and cause you to look at new ones for the extra great performance.

P3 kernels not recommended, out dated unfortunately that they arent as good as before, cvpcs kernels cause wifi not to work and force reboots on boot up with wifi on.

Recommend Slayers kernel or chevys. will update op later today with links for both, but for now, i must go to work :(

AAAH!!!! Ok, now it makes sense. Posting updated links would be awesome. I obviously have older kernels saved which I need to delete. Actually, I will delete all saved kernels and start from scratch to save newer kernels.

Thanks a million.

Flashed earlier today, been running it, I didn't bother wiping or clearing data at all. It didn't even write over the bootanimation I just installed. My ADW settings even stayed in place. However a few of my homescreen widgets showed a "widget not loaded properly" error, so I removed them and reapplied the widgets and its working great. I'll do some more testing as the day goes on.

I've ran Chevy's LowV 1Ghz kernel on UD8, if you say slayher's 1Ghz kernel is used it shouldn't be much of a diff, maybe I'll try Chevy's ULV 1Ghz kernel.

Oh and Stock UD 1.0.0, Wireless Tether works great (using it to get my laptop online to type this right now)

Were you coming from 8.0 like your Signature says?

i think my lockscreens ****ed up... i saw some screenshots of what its supposed to look like and mine doesnt look like that. the tabs are cut off at the bottom and on the screenshot i saw its supposed to have the words unlock/sound (i think). and this is mine.

Same here, I switched to the rotary lockscreen for now as this doesn't seem to have these problems.

Edit: Nevermind, completely missed the post where BD said this is normal.
