The Ultimate Droid 1.0.0 - Droid 1 Only

Question...I have tried to install a couple of the apps like fancy weather or any of the apps from the built in apps section.. I get the pop up after clicking on install the fancy weather widget, I select yes I get another window that pops up that says running command... and then nothing else happens..the apps don't install.. any ideas?
Think you may have to REBOOT after for apk to show up. Not sure but it won't hurt to try...........

After the dialog that says "running command" goes away, wait like 30 seconds then reboot.

Finally found the setting to kill foreground app on back button long press after rereading release notes. Loving it. Makes exiting stubborn apps so much easier.

Installation block

Alright I'm going from UD5 to UD10 so much has changed! The folder that once held just the boot img, now has a boot img and 2 extra folders. That means I can't install from nandroid because it gives me the error for too many sub folders. I Also cant do the update zip thing from sp recovery since it gives me a status 7 error. (whatever that is) Do I need to update my Kernal, recovery?

If so how?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The ONLY issue (may be more of a question) is the Droid X boot animation being horribly slow! Any reason??

Should there be a puff of smoke that billows out every once in awhile.

not all the time I mean. just here and there.

.j/k.

but I really need a kernal change. I am running Chevy1 ulv 1.25 and I put it on the google maps nav and it drained 30% in like just over 10 mins. I think I am having the 1x (non 3G) problem too. maybe the kernal?

Any best kernal suggestion please.

chances are the ulv kernel is having issues with your phone. If there isn't enough voltage to write the information, your phone will keep trying until it can, so go one up and try the normal low voltage kernel.

Hey there your status 7 error doesn't include the word "supersonic" does it?

Here's your answer.................
Settings>Applications>Developement>stop app via long press
Long pressing the Back button will kill the foreground application

Now can someone tell me what it's good for................................?

All except Alternate Dark are ready for d/l check op in my signatature. make sure you d/l Ud version

I did not modify services.jar or policy.jar ie.. font color change Ud includes scripts for you to change font color so all font is white until you change it.

For apps that don't close properly and apps that require pushing back button through several screens to exit. Works great to actually close browser instead of sending to background. I also use it in Tapatalk to quickly exit without backing through screens. I can see why it is disabled by default. I have had a few weird things happen like keyboard getting stuck on screen and accidentally closing ADW.
