The Ultimate Droid 2.3.0 - All Devices - D1, INC, EVO 4G, Desire CDMA & GSM

Just flashed the update, but noticed one issue thus far... During an incoming call, the answer and ignore buttons are not as well centered, but moved all the way to the left, which cuts out a little of the answer button. It's still functional, just doesn't look very sexy.

Anyone else notice this yet?

How do you get compcache running on 2.3? Are the edits and terminal commands still necessary?? Thanks..

Terminal commands aren't necessary but you do still need to install this:

http://android.antbox.org/slayher/slayher_compcache_droid.zip

as an update.zip...

Pretty disappointed that I'm still having to do this. I won't donate until a rom works without me having to tinker with it. I can go get any number of other roms that compcache works in. Hopefully next release.

Thanks for the link, what is in the zip? Is there a setting or is compcache enabled on start-up?

Any addl. info would be gr8ly appreciated!
I guess it's files missing to get compcache running properly. It's taken from the thread about getting compcache going on UD2.1... As soon as I installed it as an update.zip, compcache worked(though I didn't try it with the stock UD2.3 kernel, I only used the Slayher 1100mhz kernel.

Flawless for me, once again - thanks for the Great ROM

Have you run compcache stats from a Terminal app yet?

I'm the one that put together the compcache on 2.1 thread so I've done some research. That zip file is something provided by Slayher to enable compcache in his/her kernels. The zip is also needed for CM to have compcache, just to give you an example of another highly tested ROM that requires you to flash that. It has nothing to do with the ROM, it has everything to do with the kernel.

Slayher has newer kernels out for the LFY ROM which possibly may have the script pre-installed, but I have not tried them.

I ran this script on 2.1, with a Slayher 1.6 1100 kernel with no problems, Do you know if the script still needs to be run with the LFY kernels?

As far as I know, it does. I have one of them installed and compcache will not work for me

So, you had heat issues with UD before and it is fixed now? But I'm going to flash once I finish charging

Big heat issues with UD, Like CPU temp of 130-135 f, and batt of 115-120 f worth a try, it's one of my favorite roms. So far nothing over 95 for CPU and under 90 for batt. (except when downloading all my apps then it was 110 and 100.)

Sounds exactly like what I had. I wish there was a way to keep it from syncing my apps but still be able to install a couple of my paid apps to do some testing. By battery is at 70 so I'll be flashing soon. I'm just worried that if it works on this one, the next release might give me issues.

Try the install without a wipe.

I'm going to. I always have. Never had issues with it. I hope it keeps me from getting hot in upcoming releases:/ I'm about to flash 2.3. I'm in Recovery as we type haha
