The update is availible by pulling it NOW!

Found the issue for anybody else experiencing this problem:

Make sure wi-fi is ON and do a battery pull. When it came back on it found update.

Very frustrated! When I go to Check for Updates it says "Check for Update is not available now. Try again later."
It has been doing this for several days. Before that it just said "Your device is up to date".

I'm stock, unrooted and have tried with wifi and 3/4G.

Any advice?

The only thing i can do now is(not like b4)...i can download the update...but failed to install!!
Btw...are you all(w/ successfully updated the DB),still in 100%stock kernel ?...meaning,didn't yet flashed the leaked OTA before?

Just installed (stock). Camera is definitely faster. No hiss in the headphones (though I could barely notice it before.)

I don't feel like anyone has clearly answered this question yet. I'm not rooted, but installed the leak 5.5.893 version a couple weeks ago. Is the OTA exactly the same? With the leaked version, I still have 4g/3g data drops, and can't increase the volume when the screen is black.

Does anybody know if the OTA is exactly the same? Again, the leaked version didn't fix all the things the OTA says it will fix. Do I need to reset to factory to get the OTA? Someone please help.

Still won't install for me. Rooted with Pete's One-Click, using latest CWR, unfroze all bloat, tried using bootstrap & without.

About to do a factory restore, this is getting annoying.

I think it's the same,cuz it shows 5.5.893 on my part too,keeps failing cuz i've flashed the leaked OTA before and i have the latest kernel..

I had this problem for a couple of months and was not caused by unupdated apps. Corrected the issue by doing a Factory Reset. It's not the most desirable solution to the problem but it did work for me.
